The estimated output stands at 28.31 thousand metric tons, liveweight, reflecting a decline of -1.2% compared to the recorded production of 28.65 thousand metric tons, liveweight, during the same period in 2022.

Western Visayas, the top producer, contributing a significant 3.89 thousand metric tons, liveweight, and capturing a 13.7% share of the total carabao production. Joining the top five regions with the highest volume of carabao production at liveweight during this period are Eastern Visayas with 2.31 thousand metric tons, SOCCSKSARGEN with 2.26 thousand metric tons, Ilocos Region with 2.13 thousand metric tons, and Zamboanga Peninsula with 2.09 thousand metric tons.
