Pormal po nating nilunsad ang kasunduan sa pagitan ng BIR at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) nitong July 17, 2024. Sa bisa ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) ay magkakaroon ng mas simple at mabilis na palitan ng impormasyon ang BIR at SEC.

Sa kasunduan na ito ay may access na ang BIR sa Swift Corporate and Other Records Exchange (SCORE) Protocol ng SEC, sa pamamagitan nito ay maari nang silipin ng BIR ang mga mahalahang corporate documents ng isang SEC-registered taxpayer. Ang malayang palitan ng SEC at BIR ng impormasyon ay magagamit sa imbestigasyon ng tax fraud at sa mga audit.

Buo ang suporta ng BIR sa mga simulain at digitization programs ng SEC.

Tinanggap po natin ang “Exemplary Integrity Award” mula sa Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Cebu (PICPA-Cebu) sa kanilang naganap na PICPA-Cebu Summit noong July 11, 2024.

Kinikilala ng award na ito ang ating pagpapahalaga sa serbisyong may integridad at mahusay na taxpayer service sa pamamagitan ng digital transformation, ISO Certification, at mga makabuluhang pagbabago sa mga polisiya para sa ating mga taxpayers.

Patunay ng dedikasyon ng BIR sa “integrity and professionalism” ay ang pagpapanagot ng mga kawani na hindi tapat sa kanilang serbisyo. Noong May 2023 ay ating kinasuhan ang isang BIR employee na nangdurugas ng sales machine. Matapos lamang ang isang buwan ay nagsuspinde at terminate ang muli ang BIR ng 26 na kawani.

Pagpasok ng taong 2024 ay nagsuspinde muli ang BIR ng 26 na kawaning hindi naging tapat sa serbisyo. Noong February 2024, sa tulong ng Philippine National Police ay nahuli rin po natin ang isang BIR employee na naningikil ng negosyo.

Sa Bagong Pilipinas ay makakasa po kayo ng patas at tapat na taxpayer service mula sa BIR.
