The 970th Honor Es**rt and Ceremonial Group held a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony at PAF Band Hall, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on July 22, 2024.
During the event, LTC FRANCIS ANTHONY M FLOSA PAF relinquished his position as Deputy Group Commander, 970th HECG, passing the responsibility to MAJ JUNWEDN A HAMOR PAF.
The ceremony was presided by the Group Commander 970th HECG, LTC ALLAIN OLIVER G PALASIGUE PAF (GSC).

On 19 July 2024, the 970th Honor Es**rt and Ceremonial Group spearheaded a Feeding Program Activity at Brgy. Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. This event, led by MAJ JUNWEDN A HAMOR PAF, in partnership with the Local Government Unit, aimed to support the community and address food security.
The Feeding Program underscores the commitment of this Group to community service and support for local families. By providing nutritious meals, the event contributes to the health and well-being of the community, especially the children and elderly.

On 16 July 2024, the 970th Honor Es**rt and Ceremonial Group conducted a Coastal Clean-up Drive Activity at Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park headed by LTC ALLAIN OLIVER G PALASIGUE PAF (GSC) Group Commander, 970th HECG underscores their commitment to environmental protection and combating pollution.
The 970th HECG encourages ongoing environmental stewardship through waste reduction, recycling, and raising awareness. This event, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) together with Ms. Jezzam Galle Piolo, Ecosystem Management Specialist, aimed to preserve natural resources and maintain the beauty of coastal areas. The clean-up highlights the critical role of coastal waters in the ecosystem. These waters provide habitats for marine life, support fisheries, and contribute to environmental health. By keeping coastlines free from pollution, these ecosystems can thrive, benefiting biodiversity, tourism, and community well-being. The 970th Honor Es**rt and Ceremonial Group warmly welcomes the COL AKIBA, KAZUAKI, Defense Attaché of JASDF, during a courtesy call with COL NOBEL EUMAR C ABARRA PAF (MNSA), CCS, AIBDC on July 5, 2024 at Agunod Hall, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
Topics on future band exercises between the two forces were discussed and underscored and as a testament to the JASDF commitment, the Japanese Embassy will host a "Harana Musikaibigan: Philippine-Japan Friendship Concert" with a special performance with the PAF Strings Ensemble. This collaboration will significantly strengthen the friendship and cooperation bonds between the two forces. The exchange of culture and music has been truly inspiring and foster mutual respect and camaraderie.

On 13 January 2024, the 970th Honor Es**rt and Ceremonial Group participated as guest performers in “IHUDYAT! 2024: A Dinner Concert” with the U.P. Vanguard Incorporated held at the AFP Commissioned Officers’ Club in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Romeo S Brawner Jr. PA served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the Ihudyat Concert 2024.
The U.P. Vanguard Incorporated is the alumni organization and fraternity of Advanced ROTC cadet officers of the University of the Philippines Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (UP ROTC).

The 970th Honor Es**rt and Ceremonial Group participated in the Simultaneous Pinning of Chevron Ceremony to its newly-promoted Enlisted Personnel headed by the LTC ALLAIN OLIVER G PALASIGUE PAF (GSC) on January 8, 2024 at the Headquarter 970HECG Conference Room, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
Meanwhile, 17 newly-promoted enlisted personnel were pinned into the next higher rank by the Group Commander, 970HECG, assisted by LTC FRANCIS ANTONY M FLOSA PAF, Deputy Commander, 970HECG; MSg Regienald L Calim PAF, Assistant GSM.
During his remarks, LTC PALASIGUE PAF (GSC) expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the excellence and devotion of all the newly promoted personnel which greatly contributed to the accomplishment of the unit's mission.
The Pinning of their Chevron is not only a recognition of their past work but also a testament to the Unit's confidence in their ability.
