(Belated) Happy National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Day! ❤

Working in the ED, we have seen the positive effects of early and effective CPR in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest done by the layman. We strive to continually advocate and empower the community to be our partners in saving lives.

We thank the City Health Office of San Fernando La Union, led by Dr. Bangloy, and TMC CPR Center, led by Dr. Raul Ramboyong, for being our partners in our Layman CPR and First Aid Caravan held last June 1, 2023 held in Lingsat Integrated School.

We ended 2022 with the first of many STASH (skills training and simulation hour) workshops headed by our alumna, Dr. Lyn Ong!

For our first session, residents were taught about optimizing airway management with hands on demo on Cricothyrotomy! 🫁

Now we welcomed 2023 by launching “The Fundamentals: DEM back-to-basic lectures and sono hour series”. We aim revisit core concepts and basic knowledge fundamental in our practice of Emergency Medicine.

Who better to start this series than our graduate, Dr. Panganiban and her lecture on basic 12L ECG Interpretation?🫀
