The Department of Health (Philippines) has confirmed 2,378 additional cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as of 4:00 pm of August 23, 2020, bringing the total to 189,601 of which 55,236 are active.

The DOH has also reported that there were 16,459 new recoveries, and 32 new deaths today due to COVID-19, bringing the total number to 131,367 and 2,998 respectively.
