Rev Paul Jeyachandran on "Why Intentional Disciplemaking?"
Why Intentional Disciplemaking? | IDMC DNA Episode 2 | Rev Paul Jeyachandran | IDMC Movement to IDMC.Church Online! Dive into the heart of intentional disciplemaking with Rev Paul Jeyachandran in this enlig...
In the serene embrace of Dibut, San Luis, Aurora, away from the digital distractions and comforts of modern life, 49 young delegates from various churches of Wesleyan WNCD gathered for an extraordinary outdoor Christian youth camp. During Holy Week (Wed to Sat), these spirited individuals formed four teams, embarking on a unique journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth. Without the convenience of Wi-Fi, air conditioning, or even a bed, they faced daily challenges designed to test their wit, patience, and leadership skills. This was not just a camp; it was a mission to survive, to adapt, and to overcome.
As the days unfolded, the delegates traded their daily necessities for food supplies, learning the value of sacrifice and teamwork. They cooked their own meals, finding joy in the simple act of sharing food prepared by their own hands. Each task, each meal, and each night spent under the stars brought them closer to understanding the essence of responsibility and accountability. The camp became a crucible for character development, where each individualโs actions contributed to the collective experience, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.
On the last day, they even went to the adjacent Dumagat Tribe to share God's word, pray for them, and share some groceries.
The camp concluded with hearts full of memories and spirits lifted high. The delegates emerged not just as survivors of the wilderness but as beacons of Christ-likeness. They returned to their communities with a renewed commitment to lead with compassion, serve with integrity, and shine with grace. It stands as a testament to the power of faith and fellowship in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
