Here's a breathing tip:

Many people βover breatheβ which means they are inhaling more than they are exhaling. If you're not creating enough of an elevation of carbon dioxide in your bloodstream for proper oxygen exchange, youβll constantly feel out of breath and try to inhale more - especialy at times of stress (ie. hyperventilation)

You actually need to exhale rather than inhale; fully exhaling also increases lung capacity for deeper breaths.

There's no doubt that stress can do nasty things to your body. And, there's even less doubt that giving yourself the time to breathe deeply can help get rid of some built-up anxiety.
In one study, participants were faced with anxiety-producing math problems. Those who regularly practiced yoga were more physically resilient in the face of that stress. Specifically, their oxygen requirements went back to normal quickly after being stressed.
Deep-breathing can help calm you down physically and mentally β and it'll even lower your body's level of the "stress hormone" cortisol.
