“Grandma, how do you cope with pain?”
“With your hands, honey. If you do it with your mind instead of relieving the pain, it toughens even harder.”
“With your hands grandma?”
“Yes, our hands are the antennae of our soul. If you move them; knitting, cooking, painting, playing or sinking them into the ground, you send care signs to the deepest part of you and your soul lights up because you’re paying attention to it. Then signs of pain will no longer be necessary.”
“Hands are really that important?”
“Yes my daughter. Think of babies: they start to know the world through the touch of their hands. If you look at the hands of old people, they tell you more about their life then any body part.
Everything that is done by hand is said to be done with the heart. Because it’s really like this: hands and heart are connected.
Masseurs know well: when they touch someone with their hands, they create a deep connection. It is precisely from this connection that healing comes. Think of lovers: when they touch their hands, they make love in a more sublime way.”
“My hands grandma.... how long I haven’t used them like this!”
“Move them, my love. Begin to create with them and everything within you will begin to move. The pain will not pass away. And instead what you do with them will become the most beautiful masterpiece and it won’t hurt anymore. Because you have been able to transform its essence.”

"If you don't read books, here's 5 reasons why you must read at least 3 pages a day"
1) Exposes you to new ideas
There’s no denying that certain circumstances can limit the ideas you encounter in everyday life.
If you have access to books, in short, you can access new concepts and information, no matter where you live or what you do.
2) Gives you a chance to encounter different cultures.
Maybe you’ve never had the chance to visit another country or even travel to different regions of your home country.
You can still explore other cultures and traditions by simply picking up a book.
3) It can boost empathy
When you recall your last English or literature class, you probably remember a few deep and meaningful literary works — some more interesting and relevant than others.
4) Improve your vocabulary.
Vocabulary and verbal skills fall under the umbrella of general intelligence, and you’re bound to encounter new words each time you open a book.
5) Strengthens problem-solving skills.
Reading can fuel your imagination by allowing you to envision and explore new and different worlds.
An expanded imagination can boost creativity, making it easier to find new and unique solutions to the challenges that come up daily.

THE 7 RULES OF LIFE
1. Smile:
A simple smile holds incredible power. Smiling not only brightens your day but also has a profound impact on those around you. It is a universal language that transcends barriers and spreads positivity. When you wear a smile, you invite happiness into your life and create a welcoming atmosphere for others. Smiling is contagious, and by radiating joy, you can uplift the spirits of those who cross your path. Remember that even in challenging times, a smile can be a beacon of hope and a reminder that things will eventually work out.
2. Be Kind:
Kindness is a virtue that costs nothing but has immeasurable value. By practicing kindness, you have the ability to make a significant impact on the lives of others. A simple act of kindness, whether it's offering a helping hand, lending a listening ear, or expressing words of encouragement, can brighten someone's day and restore their faith in humanity. Kindness creates a ripple effect, spreading positivity and fostering meaningful connections. Remember, by being kind to others, you cultivate a sense of empathy and compassion within yourself.
3. Don't Give Up:
Life is full of obstacles and setbacks. It's crucial to adopt a resilient attitude and maintain unwavering determination in the face of challenges. Don't let failure discourage you; instead, view it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Embrace the mindset that setbacks are stepping stones to success. If one approach doesn't yield the desired outcome, adapt, improvise, and try another route. Keep moving forward with perseverance, knowing that success often requires multiple attempts. Remember, every setback is an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
4. Don't Compare:
In the age of social media, it's easy to fall into the trap of comparison. However, comparing yourself to others only breeds discontentment and diminishes your self-worth. Understand that each person's journey is unique, and everyone progresses at their own pace. Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on your own progress and growth. Celebrate your achievements and set realistic goals that align with your values and aspirations. Remember, comparison steals your joy and prevents you from fully embracing your individuality.
5. Avoid Negativity:
Negativity can be toxic and drain your energy. It's essential to cultivate a positive mindset and surround yourself with uplifting influences. Be mindful of your thoughts and replace negative self-talk with affirmations and gratitude. Choose your company wisely and gravitate towards individuals who inspire, support, and encourage you. Avoid engaging in gossip or dwelling on negativity. By consciously eliminating negative influences, you create space for personal growth and attract positivity into your life.
6. Make Peace with Your Past:
The past can weigh heavily on the present if we allow it. To embrace personal growth and happiness, it is crucial to make peace with your past. Acknowledge past mistakes, learn from them, and use those experiences as stepping stones towards a better future. Cultivate mindfulness and focus on the present moment, cherishing the opportunities it offers. By letting go of past regrets and resentments, you free up mental and emotional space to fully engage in the present. Take time to reflect on the lessons learned and use them to shape a better future for yourself. Embrace forgiveness, both for others and yourself, as it is a powerful tool for healing and growth. Remember, the past is behind you, and your focus should be on creating a brighter and more fulfilling future.
7. Take Care of Your Body & Mind:
Your body and mind are interconnected, and nurturing both is essential for overall well-being. Prioritize self-care by engaging in activities that promote physical and mental health. Exercise regularly, fuel your body with nutritious food, and get enough restful sleep. Take time to relax and engage in activities that bring you joy and peace. Practice mindfulness, meditation, or any form of mental wellness that resonates with you. Surround yourself with positive influences and seek support when needed. Remember, a healthy body and mind lay the foundation for a happy and fulfilling life.
Embrace them, adapt them to your life, and watch as they positively transform your perspective and interactions with the world.
DEATH AND DEATH ALERTS!
150 Years From Now....
150 years from now, none of us reading this post today will be alive. 70 percent to 100 percent of everything we are fighting over right now will be totally forgotten. Underline the word, TOTALLY and ponder.
If we go back memory lane to 150 years before us, that will be 1872, none of those that carried the world on their heads then are alive today. Almost all of us reading this will find it difficult to picture exactly anybody's face of that era.
Pause for a while and imagine how some of them betrayed their relatives and sold them as slaves for a piece of mirror. Some k*lled family members just for a piece of land or tubers of yam or cowries or for a pinch of salt or both. Where is the yam, cowries, mirror, or salt that they were using to brag then? It may sound funny to us now, but that is how s*lly we humans are sometimes, especially when it comes to money, power or attempt to stay relevant.
You could remember pretty those days in my secondary school for example, how some people fought and did so many unimaginable things just to have their names shortlisted among those to be made school Prefects. Ordinary school Prefects for that matter ! But today, nobody in that school right now remembers that you even schooled there despite your popularity then. Now, imagine what happens after 150 years!
Even when you claim the internet age will preserve your memory, using the popular Michael Jackson as an example. Michael Jackson died in 2009, just 14 years ago. Imagine the influence Michael Jackson had all over the world when he was alive. How many young people of today could remember him with awe, that is if they even know him? In 150 years to come, his name, when mentioned, will not ring any bell to a lot of people at all!
Let us take life easy, nobody will get out of this world alive. . . The land you are fighting and ready to kill for, somebody left that land, the person is dead, rotten, and forgotten. The same applies to money, power and others. That will also be your fate per say. In 150 years to come, none of the vehicles or phones we are using today to brag will be relevant anymore. please! take life easy!
Let love lead amongst us. Let’s be genuinely happy for each other. No malice, no backbiting. No jealousy. No comparison. Life is not a competition either. At the end of the day after all, we will all transit to the other side life. It is just a question of who gets there first, but surely we will all get there someday.
