Everyday, we get to show our love to our work and the hospital, but it feels different during special times like this. And it was made more special as SFHI and Dr. Mercado gave out edible roses to staffs to celebrate valentine's day.

On Jan.18, Dr. Edmundo R. Mercado together with his wife Dra.Jennifer C. Deoduco-Mercado and the team organized an event to introduce Smile Train to the media. Invited to the said event were radio stations such as RW 95.1 FM and The Voice. San Fernandino Hospital is one of the partner of Smile Train in comprehensive cleft care and other needs of children such as orthodontics, speech therapy and nutritional support. Afterwards, Dr. Mercado and wife meet the patients who shared their experiences and testimonies of how Smile Train treat them with care and support.

Delicious foods and a mobile bar, ice cream, coffee and photo booths were enjoyed by attendees. Of course, sing and dance presentations were prepared by the staff to showcase their talents. And the most awaited part of the night, gift-giving and raffle. Cash prizes and appliances were given away to lucky winners that they take home for their families.

There was never a year that SFHI didn't bring happiness to its employees every year, especially during the Christmas season.

Occupied with workloads, but still find time to decorate their stations to showcase their craftsmanship and creativity. Using recyclable and cheap materials, staff managed to beautify the hospital yearly.

And this year, a decor contest was held again which was judged by Dr. Richard Lising, Sir Charlie and Ma'am April of Smile Train on Dec.22.

The ER department secured the 1st place in the said contest followed by Dialysis department in 2nd place and the HMO department in 3rd place.
It was indeed a wonderful event to showcase the staff's camaraderie and creativeness during this season.

The real essence of Christmas is not just about gift-giving and grand parties. It is also about reminding us that our Savior Jesus Christ was born on that day so we must feel loved and grateful.

On Dec. 22, a morning mass was held at San Fernandino Hospital Chapel lead by Rev.Father Cezar Violeta of St. Paul. The Deuduco and Mercado family attended the mass together with the staffs and patients.

Let us all be reminded the real meaning of Christmas and always be grateful of how blessed we are everyday and towards the days ahead.

Halloween aisled up! And San Fernandino Hospital didn't just let the day pass without making the day a little spooky. Each departments showcased their offices with their best Halloween themes. And of course, Halloween is nothing without these cute yet fa-boo-lous trick-or-treaters who roam around the hospital to gather their treats!

This event is celebrated yearly not just to scare and give candies. It is also about remembering and praying all of the saints and the souls of our departed as part of our tradition.
