Did you know that National Heroes' Day not only celebrates famous historical figures like Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio, but also the unsung heroes of our modern times? 🏆

This special day, observed on the last Monday of August, pays tribute to all those who selflessly contribute to the betterment of our nation - from teachers and healthcare workers to volunteers and community leaders. 🙌

Originally celebrated on a Sunday, the holiday was moved to a Monday in 2007 to give everyone a chance to honor our heroes. 📅

So this National Heroes' Day, take a moment to appreciate the extraordinary people who make a difference in our lives every day. They are the true champions of our nation! 🇵🇭

A core memory has been added! That day was filled with so much fun, building teamwork, testing our knowledge, and hearing inspirational speeches from our seniors. The BSIT Department Officers, led by Department Chairperson Ma'am Lorena Florita, along with fellow BSIT students, visited Rizal National High School to conduct a Course Campaign. The objective was to inspire and inform Senior High School students about the BSIT course and programs offered at Divine Word College of San Jose. This campaign is designed to enrich the experience of incoming college students from RNHS by equipping them with the necessary information for a successful start to their academic journey.

BSIT Showcase: The Night of Luxury unfolded as a mesmerizing journey through time on April 12, 2024, at Fr. McSherry Gymnasium, where BSIT students showcased their 'Old Money' attire with their unique charm and elegance.

Dr. Luis I. Gante, Jr., the Dean of College, set the tone with his opening remarks, emphasizing perseverance and excellence in Information Technology.

Inspirational messages from Ms. Mary Rose Emm Giwan and Mr. Cesar Ainza Jr. echoed themes of determination and resilience, encouraging BSIT students to seize the vast opportunities in IT.

The air was filled with laughter and music as the students sang along to the enchanting melodies performed by the Refrain band, creating an atmosphere of pure delight. Amidst the festivities, heartfelt congratulations resounded as deserving students were applauded and celebrated for their remarkable achievements.

The ceremony took a solemn turn as a posthumous certificate was awarded to Ghentdee Owens C. Orsos, honoring his memory and acknowledging his contributions. This heartfelt moment reminded attendees of life's fragility and the importance of cherishing every moment.

The BSIT Night embodied a celebration of achievements, a call to greatness, and a tribute to the enduring legacies within the BSIT community.
