Megaworld Foundation, together with MEGreen and Lucky China Town, kicks off "One Mega for Brigada" at Jose Abad Santos High School.
More than 60 volunteers enthusiastically participated in various tasks including painting, cleaning, and enhancing 10 classrooms to provide students a better learning environment for School Year 2024-2025.
Megaworld Foundation's "One Spoon at a Time" feeding activity catered to over 80 students, spanning from kindergarten to grade 5, at Francisco Legaspi Memorial School.
During the program, Mr. Harold S. Combalicer, a nutritionist from the Pasig City Health Office, shared valuable insights on healthy eating habits with the students. Additionally, Mr. Ernie Lito Bollosa, an agriculturist from the Department of Agriculture, conducted an informative session on urban farming. Through this combination of nourishment and education, the Foundation inspired young individuals to aspire for a future where they can take action against hunger.
"Future Forward: Turning Visions Into Reality" Coaching Sessions provided 46 graduating scholars from Batch 2024 with essential knowledge to prepare them for their future careers. The sessions delved into relevant topics such as “Pay it Forward”, "Effective Resume Writing", and "Acing Your Job Interview". The scholars also appreciated the activities arranged for them, showcasing their knowledge and fostering communication with their fellow scholars.
Through a blend of skill-building and comprehensively informative advices, the Foundation boosted the confidence of graduating scholars as they transition from their academic lives to the professional world.
Eskwela ng Bayan is committed to lend a hand to young students who are striving to catch up and excel in school. Since the summer vacation of 2019, Megaworld Foundation gathers employees for four Saturdays to volunteer in creatively teaching fundamental skills in literacy and numeracy to different communities.
This year, 70 volunteer teachers shared their time, talent, and efforts to 44 students from South Cembo Elementary School. These preschool to Grade 3 students also received school supplies from the Foundation and tokens from Pik-Nik. Savoy Hotel Manila provided sumptious packed lunches for students and volunteers as well.
One of the highlights of Eskwela ng Bayan 2024 was its graduation day. Megaworld Foundation President Dr. Francisco C. Canuto himself celebrated with the families of top students as they receive the "Dr. Francisco C. Canuto Scholarship Award". South Cembo Elementary School Principal Ms. Ma. Julieta Cecilia G. San Jose, along with the students' parents, all recognize the positive impact of Eskwela ng Bayan 2024 towards a bright start of S.Y. 2024-2025.
