The number of poor Filipinos whose per capita income is not sufficient to meet their basic food and non-food needs was estimated at 23.7 percent. This translates to 26.14 million Filipinos who lived below the poverty threshold estimated at PhP 12,082, on the average, for a family of five per month.

This explains the creation of PADAYON PAGLAOM, a non-profit organization that advances the reduction of poverty and supports the education of children from indigent families. We also provide at least the primary needs of people from underserved community and in some far-flung areas most especially during this period of pandemic.

We believe that giving back is the best way we can support our community, and since Christmas time is the most wonderful time of the year, PADAYON PAGLAOM will once again embark on our tradition of conducting a Gift Giving project to the indigenous people of Roxas City as well as the inmates or Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at the Correctional Institution for Women. These 1,500 would be beneficiaries deserved to be happy also this yuletide season and we can demonstrate our unconditional compassion to them by giving them a Noche Buena Package.

For 2 consecutive years now, this noble initiative has attracted prominent humanitarian organizations into giving their much needed support, one of them is no less than the Rotary Club of Makati Gems, a premiere club in Rotary International District 3830.

In line with this, We would like to humbly knock on your generous heart and to make an appeal to generate funding support for the said project. Your selfless assistance will surely go a long way in putting a smile on the faces and providing a sense of meaning this Christmas to all our indigenous beneficiaries.
