Last December 10, 2023, the Gawad Kalinga Taguig held their Christmas Party at the Dueñas Gymnasium. It was followed by the GK Poveda Year-End Party, held last December 31, 2023. 🎁

Indeed, it was a was a vibrant gathering filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a shared sense of joy. Wishing everyone prosperity, good health, and countless moments of shared happiness in the upcoming year. 🎄❤️

As per one says, “Now you leave the structure and framework of school and chart your own path”. So, this is just the start of your new chapters in life; make new memories and achieve more.

PARA SA BAYAN, TATAYA KA BA? 📣🏘️

The Gawad Kalinga Organization held an annual and nationwide event called “GK Bayani Challenge” which is about building resiliency in our communities and promoting volunteering as a viral act of caring.

The GK Poveda Village supported this drive and includes it under the flagship program with the theme: ‘’Tataya para sa Bayan”. On June 11, 2023, twenty-two volunteers from GK Poveda joined the Bayani Challenge in Baras, Rizal.

An event that pushed through rain and shine. The volunteers from GK Poveda and the beneficiaries in GK Melchor Village participated and put their hands on deck to ensure the work would finish strong.

Do you still believe that the youth is the hope of the future?

The Poveda GK Village held a 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝗺𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 last April 23, 2022 in accordance with the 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 2023: 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧.

Our sincerest gratitude to the 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝗺 for being our guest speaker. The youth of GK Poveda were moved by your inspirational message enhancing our knowledge as leaders and life-long learners.

On December 11, 2022, GK Poveda hosted a year-end Thanksgiving celebration. A yearly tradition that brings the kapitbahayans together, spending the night over some good food, good times, and good company.

EARLIER THIS WEEK: The New President of Manila Water, Mr. Jocot De Dios together with other Manila Water Personnel visits GK Poveda on May 24, 2022.

It is an honor of the beneficiaries as the chosen community to be visited and trusted by Manila Water.

Step Up PH in partnership with Del Monte Foundation celebrated its 2nd year. Step Up PH is a non-profit organization geared with youth, for all. The organization aims to fill deep-rooted gaps in society through awareness campaigns and community service programs.

April 26, 2022. The GK Poveda Youth were able to give out more than 3,000 bottles of fit ‘n right to the youth in each GK Village sites: Fuji Xerox, Rotary Club, Jack ‘n Jill, Fil-Am, UP Lamda, Catholic Women Club, Zonta Club, ISM, and Poveda; and 2,000 more to the youth outside the villages.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the campaign of Step Up PH. Thank you, Mr. Martin Eusebio for your efforts and presence. We appreciate your love and compassion not just for the youth, but for everyone.

To more milestones and people to help. We are pleased to be part of your cause, and excited to be part of your future causes to come.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Gk Poveda village held a year-end thanksgiving party on December 19, 2021. The Kapitbahayans enjoyed a good night sharing gifts, laughter, and good times.
