🌟 A heartfelt thank you to the City Health Office, led by Dr. Imelda Young and Dr. Anneiesa Ocol, and the dedicated dentists from the Pasig Pateros Taguig Chapter, along with their dental aides, for organizing our "Quarterly Dental Visit" on August 27, 2024, at the BPA conference. The event, themed "Ngipin ay Protektado para sa Batang Taguigeño," provided essential dental health education, free cleanings, and tooth fillings for our residents and BPA staff. We’re also grateful to the Wawa Health Center for their enlightening mental health lectures. A big shoutout to the BPA staff and nurses for their tireless efforts in ensuring the event's success. 🌟🦷

🌟At Bahay Pag-Asa (BPA) Taguig, we are dedicated to the comprehensive rehabilitation of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), with our Spiritual and Values Formation program being a vital part of this effort.

Last August 24-25, 2024, our 53 residents participated in a transformative two-day retreat entitled “Exodus Experience,” led by our dedicated partners, Asin at Ilaw Lay Missionaries (AILM) of Minor Basilica and Archdiocesan Shrine Parish of St. Anne Taguig City. Held at the BPA grounds and Dorm 2, this retreat focused on spiritual growth, positive values, and emotional support.

Our Spiritual and Values Formation program is integral to guiding these young individuals towards a brighter, more hopeful future. 🌈✨

"Funday was held at the BPA grounds, attended by the 68 residents and their parents and guardians last August 23, 2024, celebrating 'Ang Panitikan at Kapayapaan,' was a day full of stories, laughter, and a shared love for literature and peace. 🌿📚 The event featured Pagbigkas ng Tula, Sabayang Pagbigkas, an intermission dance on 'Makabansa,' a performance of 'Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas,' and a Dula-dulaan about Noli Me Tangere. Organized by our dedicated in-house teachers, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 43 residents. Parents and guardians were filled with joy as they watched their children perform.

Today, the Taguig Cooperative Development Office, headed by Ma'am Lecira Juarez, through resource speaker Ma'am Evelyn C. Sorio, conducted a Financial Literacy Training entitled "Kaalaman at Kahusayan sa Pananalapi" at the BPA grounds. The event was attended by 60 BPA residents. We extend also our gratitude to Simbayanan ni Maria Multipurpose Cooperative for generously sponsoring lunch for the residents following the training.

On August 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM, held at the BPA grounds hosted a productive General Staff Meeting by the Education Services Team. All BPA staff attended, engaging in a comprehensive agenda which included:
1. Review of the Previous Minutes
2. Addressing Team Concerns and Recommendations
3. Important Announcements and Reminders

🙏 First Friday Mass held at the BPA grounds, attended by the residents and staff of BPA. A beautiful gathering of faith and community. 🌟

On August 1, 2024, we had an incredible ALS orientation for Elementary, Junior High School, and Senior School learners with our dynamic Mobile ALS teachers at the BPA conference. From inspiring talks to hands-on activities, it was a day filled with learning and growth. Here's to empowering education and making a difference together! 🚀📚

Last July 26, 2024, we had a fantastic Friday Fun Day at the BPA grounds celebrating the 50th Nutrition Month! 🎉 The theme was "SA PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!" 🌟

Nutritionist-Dietitian Sir Niel Cabaces shared valuable insights on maintaining a healthy diet with his talk, "Healthy Diet: Gawing Habit for Life!" 🥗 Residents, along with their parents and guardians, attended the event and enjoyed the festivities.

We were also treated to amazing performances by some of our talented residents, who showcased their singing and dancing skills. 🎤💃

A big thank you to our dedicated BPA in-house nurses for facilitating this wonderful activity. Thank you also, Sir Jeffrey and Ma'am Julie Bernabe, for visiting BPA.

On July 19, 2024, we successfully conducted the "Positive Discipline" seminar at the BPA grounds. Attended by 67 dedicated parents and guardians. This insightful session empowered our parents/guardians with effective and nurturing discipline techniques to foster better parent-child relationships. 💪👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

"The last day of the 9th Founding Anniversary of Bahay Pag-Asa was celebrated at Wawa Covered Court on July 13, 2024, with the theme 'Strengthening Bonds, Inspiring Change.' The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including our beloved City Mayor Hon. Maria L. Cayetano, City Councilor of District II Hon. Marisse Balina-Eron, Hon. Jomil Serna, former CSWDO Head Ma'am Evelyn T. Arago, and former BPA Center Head Sir Ronnie Audije. We also received a video message from Hon. Judge Byron G. San Pedro of Family Court, Branch 15, and a message from Sir Ian Marcelino, a representative of Branch 69.

The day's activities featured a music and dance competition, followed by an awarding for the Basketball and Volleyball, and to music and dance competition, the overall champion, Resident of the Month, Cleanest Dorm of the Month, Note of Kindness, and the Best Employee Award. We also acknowledged our partners' support in delivering comprehensive quality programs and services by giving tokens and certificates of appreciation.

Wawa Activity Hall last July 4, 2024, honored the achievements of 28 residents—5 in Senior High School, 19 in Junior High School, and 4 in Elementary. A proud day for their achievements, marking perseverance and the pursuit of brighter futures. Special thanks to City Mayor Hon. Maria Laarni L. Cayetano, City Councilor Hon. Jomil Serna, Public Schools District Supervisor Ma'am Ma. Leny A. Manaoat, for their congratulatory messages, to Education Program Specialist ALS Ma'am Aurelia Luz A. The BPA Psychometricians facilitated the BPA Staff Meeting on July 1, 2024, at the BPA Conference Room. Key discussions included the presentation of the Semi-Annual Accomplishment Report by the Multi-Disciplinary Team, the Staff Evaluation Results for the second quarter, and other important matters.

In Photos: Reflecting on our Independence Celebration this year, the 'Sharing is Caring' activity's second quarter embraced the theme 'Kalayaan, Kasaysayan, Kinabukasan'. It featured booths highlighting pivotal eras in Philippine History: Spanish, American, and Japanese Colonization, Philippine Independence, and the History of Taguig City.

This initiative strives to nurture patriotism among our residents and provide valuable insights into our nation's rich heritage and local history. By building these booths, we foster collaboration and camaraderie among residents and staff alike. Together, we celebrate our shared past and look forward to a united future.

57 residents of BPA and 16 residents of TLC are the participants in this activity.

Yesterday, our newly hired staff underwent orientation on BPA's Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, RA 9344, the Center's programs and services, and their upcoming work assignments. Here's to a journey of responsibility and dedication ahead! 💼✨
