In celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, Treston students and faculty donned vibrant traditional Filipino attire and enjoyed a feast of native delicacies on August 30, 2024. With the theme "Filipino, Wikang Mapagpalaya," Treston organized various activities highlighting the rich and colorful Filipino culture and history.

Treston's Multi-Purpose Hall was filled with loud cheers and electrifying energy during the 'Opening of Classes Welcome Rally' held last August 22, 2024.

In her message, Ms. Sheryl Genuino-See, Treston International College Executive Vice President, welcomed new and returning students to the Home of Golden Lions and gave emphasis on the value of 'Self-Leadership' and its importance in empowering individuals to achieve long-term success through self-motivation and disciplined effort.

Highlights of the event were the Best Cheer Contest, Treston Dance Company performance, Fitness Game, and the Bring Me and Trivia Game. Students and staff also tested their skills in Drone Soccer - a fast-paced and thrilling sport that combines soccer and drone racing elements.

The Welcome Rally ended on a high note with 'Fitness with Beat' where students, teachers, and personnel danced their hearts out in different upbeat songs.

Dr. Jazzy Buela, Head of School of Culinary, Hospitality, and Tourism, and Patrick Rodriguez, BS Hospitality Management student, are now in Thailand to represent Treston International College in the 5th International Conference on Tourism and Business (ICTB) with the theme: "Rethinking Tourism Sustainability: The Role of Destinations".

Dr. Buela and Mr. Rodriguez will present their research papers entitled, "Beyond Poverty P**n: Assessing the Preparedness of Tondo, Manila for a Community-Based Sustainable Tourism Model" and "Eco-Gastronomy as a Tourism Driver: Leveraging Green Marketing in Department of Tourism-Accredited Restaurants." They compose the lone Filipino research delegate team participating in the conference.

The conference is an international forum jointly organized by Mahidol University International College (Thailand), the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland), and Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland) that aims to build global knowledge communities and strengthen the quality of research on tourism and business.

Congratulations to the Treston Culinary Team for winning four awards in the recently concluded Philippine Culinary Cup (PCC) 2024 held last July 31 to August 3, 2024 at SMX Convention Center, Manila!

Julian Kristian Allen German showed his outstanding culinary skills and bagged the Silver Award in the Pasta Category and the Bronze Award in the US Beef category. Meanwhile, John Glenn Delos Santos (US Lamb), and Karlo Joaquin Gargollo and Kyle Alexandruz De Castro (Filipino Cuisine Challenge - Team Category) brought home Bronze Awards after impressing the judges with their scrumptious dishes. Their stellar performance was guided by the expertise of their trainers and mentors namely, Chef Al Carriaga, Chef Eiffelene Howard, Chef Mike Silbor, and Chef Jillian Hermoso.

The Philippine Culinary Cup is a prestigious annual culinary competition that provides Filipino chefs an internationally-recognized platform to showcase their culinary expertise and talents. It is a collaboration of the LTB Chefs Association Philippines, the Pastry Alliance of the Philippines and PEPTarsus Corp., and established the new standards in Philippine culinary competitions.

Congratulations to Isabelle Herrera, BSBA major in Marketing Management student, and Jefferson Ammon Tirazona, BS Information Technology student, for successfully completing the National Round of ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2024! They will now advance to the Grand Final Round where they will represent the Philippines in the Business Track and Emerging Technologies Track of the Tertiary Category.

The students trained under the expert skills of Engr. Allan Godfrey Sagun, Mr. Jose Alvin Tagara, and Mr. Esmundo Tonio for the Emerging Technologies category; and Mr. Jose Rowell Talatala and Mr. Ronald Untivero for the Business Track category.

Treston International College and CQUniversity Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last July 22, 2024 at the Treston Bar and Dining Hall. Ms. Maria Carolina Abanil, Academic Director, Treston International College, and Ms. Meenu Issar, Deputy Director - International Relations, CQUniversity Australia, led the MOU signing which signifies a collaborative effort in creating social innovation focused initiatives and providing learning, professional, and economic opportunities to their students and personnel.

The ceremony was witnessed by Treston International College's Administration Director, Ms. Maria Lourdes Jose, and heads of schools namely, Dr. Francis Tolentino, Head for School of Business, Dr. Jazzy Buela, Head for School of Culinary, Hospitality & Tourism; Engr. Allan Godfrey Sagun, Head for School of Technology; and Ms. Minerva Basillo, Head for Arts and Sciences; and Dr. Stephanie Macht, Professor Ritesh Chugh, and Ms. Regina Milanes of CQUniversity Australia.

Following the ceremony, Dr. Macht and Professor Chugh shared their knowledge on design thinking and technological innovations in education through a lecture session with the Treston community.

Treston International College celebrated the incredible academic journey of graduating senior high school and college students during its 11th Commencement Exercises held last July 20, 2024 with the theme, "Healthy Mind for a Healthy Life."

Dr. Ronaldo A. Motilla, RPsy, SDipPPW, Registered Psychologist; and co-founder and member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Philippine Positive Psychology Association was the Commencement Speaker during the ceremony. In his speech, he imparted insightful guidance and knowledge about achieving mental health wellness as the new graduates navigate the new chapter of their lives.

Meanwhile, Julian Shaun Togado, senior high school valedictorian, and Angel Lyn Cundangan, college valedictorian, shared the challenges and triumphs of being a student and emphasized the power of believing in yourself and being passionate about your dreams in their inspirational messages.

Congratulations to Treston Senior High School student Pietro Boris Benedicto Bacani for placing 4th out of 17 national contenders from various regions in the Column Writing category (English, Secondary) of the prestigious National Schools Press Conference 2024 (NSPC 2024) held last July 8-12, 2024 in Carcar City, Cebu!

Bacani represented the National Capital Region in his category and was the lone private school delegate from the Division of Taguig City and Pateros. He trained under the expert guidance of Treston SHS faculty member, Ms. Krishia Camille Soriano.

The NSPC is an annual competition by the Department of Education that aims to help students develop, improve, and practice their journalistic skills.

Congratulations, Pietro on your well-deserved victory! Your talent, skills, and hard work shone brightly in the competition. Roar with pride, Golden Lion!

The whole Treston community is cheering for Pietro Boris Benedicto Bacani, senior high school student, as he competes in the National Schools Press Conference 2024 (NSPC 2024), Column Writing - English category, on July 9, 2024 in Carcar City, Cebu.

Bacani is the only private school delegate from the Division of Taguig and Pateros to qualify for the NSPC 2024 Individual Category.

Six Treston International College students passed the preliminary round of the ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2024 last June 7, 2024 with four advancing to compete in the national round on July 18, 2024.

Isabelle Herrera, BSBA major in Marketing Management student, acquired an incredible 100% ICDL score in the Business Track category and qualified to go to nationals. Also participating in the national round were Jefferson Ammon Tirazona and Alritz Jefferson Amor from BS Information Technology (Emerging Technologies Track); and Jacob Al Ameer from BSBA major in Marketing Management (Business Track).

Furthermore, BS Information Technology students Julius Marwin Fileo and Cloud Luciano also showcased their digital skills and did an amazing job in achieving passing scores.

Show off your skills in ball control, dribbling, passing, and shooting on June 25 and 27, 2024, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Treston Multi-Purpose Hall! Get a chance to be a futsal player and represent Treston International College in different tournaments.

The application period for athletic scholarship for SY 2024-2025 is extended until July 15, 2024. Open to all new senior high school and college applicants.
