Women’s Month remains an important opportunity to raise awareness about women’s rights and celebrate their achievements throughout history;
Some notable women includes;
Marie Curie: A physicist and chemist who was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win two Nobel Prizes in different fields (Physics and Chemistry). She discovered two new elements (polonium and radium) and conducted groundbreaking research on radioactivity.
Rosa Parks: An activist who became known as the “Mother of the Civil Rights Movement” after refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white person in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. Her act of civil disobedience sparked a movement that led to the end of segregation in public transportation.
Malala Yousafzai: A Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012 after advocating for girls’ education in her region. She continues to be a vocal advocate for girls’ education worldwide.
Amelia Earhart: An aviation pioneer who became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932. She was also a best-selling author and a prominent advocate for women’s rights in aviation. She disappeared while attempting to fly around the world in 1937.
Harriet Tubman: An American abolitionist who escaped slavery herself and went on to rescue at least 70 enslaved people through the Underground Railroad. She also served as a spy for the Union Army during the Civil War and was an advocate for women’s suffrage after the war.

Since its incorporation in 1971, La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation has grown into a highly diversified company agribusiness, livestock and food company.
