With the intense competition in the recently concluded 2024 Regional School Press Conference, Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School-SPED Center with the collaboration of Magugpo Pilot Central Elementary School for Radio Broadcasting contest emerges as POWER-CHAMPS and ready to hover at greater heights of success in the upcoming National Schools Press Conference to be held in Cebu City with a total of 30 delegates.
Along with the innate brilliance of the campus journalists, the way of mentoring of the school paper advisers in which they instilled discipline, dedication, and faith in these young scribes were pivotal factors in making this dream turn into a feasible realization.
Different forms of support coming from the school administration headed by Maโam Leony Anonuevo with the Assistant School Principal JR F. Villa-Abrille, PTA President Jayson S. Gultian, parents of the campus journalists, and the school faculty served not just to grease the wheels towards the teamโs goal to win but also became a wind beneath the wings to take-off for triumph and surmount challenges along its route.
Moreover, it is an undeniable fact that the premier guidance through technical training of our Tagum City Division headed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Alona C. Embracing Ramadan
Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School - SPED Center eagerly welcomed the holiest month in the Islamic calendar with a series of thoughtful activities aimed at fostering spiritual growth and cultural understanding.
One of the highlights of the school's Ramadan program was the daily Halaqatul Quran sessions, held during lunch breaks. This aims to provide learners with a sacred space to delve into the teachings of the Quran. Led by Ustadz Junel Agnaya, the Halaqatul Quran sessions encouraged reflection, discussion, and a deeper understanding of the scriptures, which also became an avenue to address learners' Quran literacy needs.
In line with the school's commitment to education, Sir Sahman D. Liberato, the school Madrasah Education Program School Coordinator, initiated the distribution of Ramadan booklets entitled "My Little Book About Ramadan" at the commencement of the month. These booklets served as comprehensive guides, offering insights into the significance of Ramadan, the rituals and practices observed during the month, and practical tips for spiritual growth.
These initiatives not only reinforced the values of empathy and social responsibility but also encouraged students to embody the true spirit of Ramadan beyond the confines of their school environment. Thus, a poignant reminder of the school head, Ma'am Leonila C. Anoรฑuevo, to always look after the learners' welfare, regardless of race, capabilities, and beliefs.
