Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated. Not everything is design. But design is everything. So do yourself a favor; be ready for anything. I like design to be semantically correct, syntactically consistent, and pragmatically understandable. I like it to be visually powerful, intellectually elegant, and above all timeless.. Design not for the elite but for the masses. Explain it to a child. Get lost in the content. Get to the heart of the matter. Never tolerate “O.K.” anything. Remember your responsibility as a storyteller. Zoom out. Switch. Prototype it. Pun. Make design your life… and life, your design. Leave something behind.

Good design is a matter of discipline. It starts by looking at the problem and collecting all the available information about it. If you understand the problem, you have the solution. It’s really more about logic than imagination An architect’s designs must refer to the unquestionable perfection of the body’s symmetry and proportions. If a building is to create a sense of eurythmy, it is essential that it mirrors these natural laws of harmony and beauty. The limits of architecture are its strength. Its inability to give form to a transient idea. Its inevitable tendency to stabilize, is the latent power of architecture.

A great building must begin with the unmeasurable, must go through measurable means when it is being designed and in the end must be unmeasurable. Great buildings that move the spirit have always been rare. In every case they are unique, poetic, products of the heart. All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope. Building art is a synthesis of life in materialised form. We should try to bring in under the same hat not a splintered way of thinking, but all in harmony together.

The future of design is a future where anything material in the environment - whether it's wearables, cars, buildings - can be designed with this variation of properties and relationship with the environment that can take part in the natural ecology..There is a very beautiful expression in the Hebrew language that's borrowed from spoken Torah... 'All is predicted, and permission is given at any point to change anything.' I think I live by this idiom in the sense that there is always a goal; there is always something to look forward to in life and my creative search, and that goal is there. The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life.

Money is like gasoline during a road trip. You don’t want to run out of gas on your trip, but you’re not doing a tour of gas stations. Today you can go to a gas station and find the cash register open and the toilets locked. They must think toilet paper is worth more than money. If you or me go to the gas station to fill up our car and it costs us much more than we expected, it will zap our discretionary income. We won't have the extra money to buy that washing machine or new winter coat-all big ticket items that are important to economic growth.

I feel like we have to keep our eyes on the road. Being nostalgic is like taking an offramp and getting a sandwich - and then you get back on the highway. I don't want to be spending the rest of my life at the gas station. A new father quickly learns that his child invariably comes to the bathroom at precisely the times when he's in there, as if he needed company. The only way for this father to be certain of bathroom privacy is to shave at the gas station.

Architect who build modern architecture Building tend to be very courageous. These people are curious about innovation. They're thinking about what it means to work in an office, rather than just buying a commodity and making it work.. Our opportunity, as designers, is to learn how to handle the complexity, rather than shy away from it, and to realize that the big art of design is to make complicated things simple.

Design is an opportunity to continue telling the story, not just to sum everything up. Here is one of the few effective keys to the design problem: the ability of the designer to recognize as many of the constraints as possible: his willingness and enthusiasm for working within these constraints. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.
Curiosity about life in all its aspects. I think, is still the secret of great creative people.
Designer can have greater access to reality; they can see patterns and details and connections that other people, distracted by the blur of life, might miss. Just sharing that truth can be a very powerful thing. A designer is an emerging synthesis of artist, inventor, mechanic, objective economist and evolutionary strategist. Behind every attractive room, there should be a very good reason. Interior design is a business of trust.

Despite our initial friction, our team had an undeniable creativity. We just happened to have the right mix of personalities. A genuine respect for each other is key I haven’t had a team with that level of expertise before or since. Having a topic that everybody is heavily invested in and committed to make all the difference. Creativity is nothing but a mind set free. Art is anything you can get away with. How well we communicate is determined not by how well we say things, but how well we are understood. Despite everything on the assumption that people are not heartless or stupid but marvelously capable, given the chance..
