BMDRC is actively participating in a comprehensive medical camp organized by the Patient Protection Society. This medical camp aims to provide a wide range of healthcare services, including both physical and mental health support.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, starting from 10 am and concluding at 3 pm. During this time, individuals attending the camp will have the opportunity to receive medical assistance and guidance from professionals at the BMDRC.

The BMDRC recognizes the importance of mental health and will have dedicated resources available to address mental health concerns. Trained professionals will be present to offer counseling, support, and guidance to those in need. This holistic approach ensures that attendees can receive comprehensive care for both their physical and mental well-being.

➡️A free medical and mental health camp was recently organized by BMDRC. The event was made possible through the exceptional teamwork and collaboration of the organization involved. Every member of the team played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth ex*****on of the camp. From planning and logistics to coordinating with healthcare professionals and volunteers, the team worked tirelessly to make this event a reality.

➡️The camp aimed to provide much-needed medical and mental health services to individuals who may not have had access to such resources otherwise. The organization recognized the importance of addressing both physical and mental well-being, understanding the interconnectedness of these aspects of health. With this in mind, they ensured that a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and counselors, were present at the camp.

➡️The feedback received from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to receive medical check-ups, consultations, and mental health support free of charge. BMDRC Nursing Services Wing (NSW) Head of department Ms. Fouzia Naz has joined and participate as a speaker in breast Cancer awareness program organized by SHE Pharmacy . It was health education and awareness program in which other than me key speakers were Dr. Shumaila Raza who talked about important health care tips to early recognition and diagnosis and treatment strategies of breast cancer. Chief guest was famous actress Ms. Jia Ali, she give information about use of herbal remedies for treatment and prevention of breast cancer. Overall It was good and interactive session for awareness about earlier detection of breast cancer.

BMDRC is arranging Mental health Awareness camp in collaboration with Quid e Azam Rangers Special school, tool plaza from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday 14th October.

World Mental Health Day (10 Oct) is a day to talk about mental health and show everyone that mental health matters. It’s also a day to let people know that it’s okay to ask for help, no matter what you’re going through.

Alhamdullilah , successfully concluding day 3 of BMDRC workshop on " Spectrum and dynamics of psychiatric and psychological issues " from 15th to 17th August 2023 at Sardar Yasin Mailk Professional Development Centre (SYMPDC), University of Karachi.
*Chief guest and guest of honour were Mr Muhammad Daim Baloch Director and Dr . Ratna Deewan, deputy director, SPDPA (Sindh person with disabilities protection authority ) DEPD department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, Government of Sindh.*
It was very meaningful workshop with speakers including chief guest and guest of honour speech on various domains and areas of disabilities. Here I am thankful to all participants to make successful event of BMDRC.

Successfully concluded workshop on " Overthinking! Over come it now" on 20th August 2023 at BMDRC Facilitated by Shahrukh Ahmed (Psychologist).

The participants learned about what overthinking is, some signs you may be an overthinker, and a few reasons why some people think too much. Also, explored different types of overthinking, the effects on your mental health and relationships, and how to stop overthinking in your daily life.

Happening this Sunday 20th August from 6pm to 7pm at BMDRC.

*Objectives of course:* Mental health issues and psychological Issues are not rare at all. It is documented by various research studies that on average one in five individuals are effected by one or another mental and psychiatic problems. Usually females are mire effected by psychological and psychiatic problems than men. Similarly younger people are more Have psychiatic and mental disorders as compared to adults and old age population. Common mental health issues in adult include anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, sleep disorders, substance abuse and psychotic disorders. Meanwhile in children and adolescents mental health problems include Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, conduct disorders and diverse range of behaviour problems. This workshop is designed to integrate and collaborate services all stakeholders of multidisciplinary mental health professionals to improve overall quality of life of patients suffering from diverse neuropsycholo issues.

*Role of Clinical psychologist in the management of epilepsy:* .
Epilepsy is not a mental illness. In fact, the vast majority of people living with epilepsy have no behavioural or psychological problem. But most clients with epilepsy had psychological and mental health issues.
The wide range of mental health and psychological problems are related to:

1. Epilepsy starting at an early age.
2. Having medical risk factors.
3. Having an underlying brain lesion causing epilepsy.
4. Poor seizure control even the proper
anti epileptic drugs (AEDs).

پانی کے اوپری حصے سے دماغ کا وزن ۔۔
تقریباً 0.18 کلوگرام تک کم ہوجاتا ہے ۔۔
اس لیے ہمیں اس کا وزن محسوس نہیں ہوتا ۔۔
یہ سیال اچانک اثر یا نقصان کے خلاف ۔۔
