District Karak , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan History:-
Until 1940, the district was ruled by the Nawab of Teri. in all over Pakistan on very high positions.
There were several tappas (satrapies) including Teri, Seni, Khurram and Barak. Between 1940 and 1982, the current district of Karak was administratively part of Kohat. Karak was established as a separate district July 1, 1982. The district is predominantly populated by the Pashtun Khattak tribe. There are several natural resources that have been discovered in Karak. The salt mines were well known
Several parts of Karak district experienced heavy snowfall, a phenomenon not witnessed for nearly two decades. The rural localities in Jandri union council, including areas like Jandri, Speena, Palosasar, and Sabirabad, were covered in six to 10 inches of snow during a one-hour snowfall from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Motorists and passengers on the Peshawar-Karachi Highway took a pause to enjoy the rare snowfall. This event brought back memories of the last significant snowfall in 1990 and 2004.
The district administration, anticipating potential disruptions, dispatched a team to supervise traffic flow on the busy highway and implement measures to prevent any untoward incidents.
Similarly, in Swabi, the Beer Gali region of Gadoon Amazai experienced its first-ever recorded snowfall on Saturday night and Sunday. Located 64 kilometers away from the district headquarters, Beer Gali attracted visitors eager to enjoy the natural beauty and scenic environment, surrounded by green mountains.
