World Water Day was organized on 25th of March by ICE Society along with CAF society. The event was a resounding success, fostering widespread participation and raising awareness about the global water crisis. Through presentations and panel discussion with Tayyab Malik DD WASA, Dean Civil Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq, Chairman Civil Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Noor M Khan, Chairman environmental engineering department Prof. Dr. Amir Ikhlaq and Director Students Affair Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaisar attendees were empowered to contribute to water conservation efforts and unite in safeguarding our planet's most precious resource. Poster and video competition were conducted and shields were provided to the winners. Overall it was a memorable and impactful occasion, which left a lasting impression on all those who attended.

This day is celebrated with patriotic fervor and various events and ceremonies are held across the country to honor the struggle and sacrifices made by the leaders and people for the establishment of Pakistan.

World Water Day is observed annually on March 22nd, to acknowledge the vital role of water in addressing the global challenges. Water not only sustains ecosystems and empowers life, but also nourishes communities worldwide.
In recognition of the World Water Day, two prominent societies of UET, ICE and CAF have collaborated to organize an event aimed at enhancing knowledge and awareness about this liquid gold among students.

The Department of Civil Engineering held its Sports gala which was organized by the ICE. The Sports Gala was a vibrant celebration of athletic prowess and team spirit, featuring a dynamic array of sports including cricket, badminton, tennis, tag of war, and football. The campus buzzed with excitement as students showcased their skills and competed with passion. From the strategic finesse of badminton to the thrilling matches of cricket and football, every game was a testament to the dedication and sportsmanship of the participants. As world leaders unite to build back better post-pandemic, the UNOPS event served as a beacon of hope and inspiration, highlighting the transformative power of collective action in creating a brighter, more equitable future for all.
Keeping in view the objectives of UNOPS, a capacity building workshop was conducted for architects, town planners and engineers to gain insights to the key aspects of sustainable housing and the integration of green initiatives for energy conservation and carbon reduction.
Under this workshop various problems associated with housing, strategies to achieve affordable housing and integration of green technology in the housing were discussed.
