Today in Rajanpur Doaba Foundation, the Deputy Commissioner Rajanpur , the Assistant Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG), the Assistant Director of the Labour Department, the District Officer of Information, Labour Unions, and other departments came together to observe International Labour Day (significant) day. The participation of these diverse entities likely includes ceremonies, speeches, and events aimed at recognizing the importance of labor rights, discussing current issues facing workers, and advocating for policies that protect and improve the conditions of workers. Observing International Labour Day in such an official and coordinated manner emphasizes the importance of worker rights and labor issues on a local and regional level. The Doaba Foundation team marked International Labour Day in Union Council Bakhir Pur alongside community members from various Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in flood-affected areas. This observance highlighted solidarity and support for the labor rights and recovery of those impacted by the floods.
A National Conference on Multi Sectoral collaboration orchestrated by Doaba Foundation And Farmers Development Organization (FDO) Amjad Shuaib Khan Tareen -Secretary Services South Punjab graced the eve as chief guest. Aftab Pirzada -Secretary P&D, M. Iqbal – DG Health Services South Punjab, Ali Musa Gillani MNA, Ms Ayesha Jamshed-Country Director WHH participated as guests of honor. IRFNS team members of Doaba and FDO, representative of Academia, farmers and SUN-CSA Executive Council Members participated in conference. Glimpse of achievements on Food and Nutrition Security (LANN +approach) by Doaba and FDO has been shared with the participants. Academia, Senior journalists, Health department, Civil Society and community members during panel discussion suggested way forward for improving food and nutrition security through Multi Sectoral collaboration for small farmers, poor families, women, children in deprived areas. Ghulam Mustafa – CEO FDO moderated the Panel discussion. Paneal discussion and conference concluded with remarks that Budget should be nutrition sensitive, Low cast initiative should be taken for food and Nutrition security including Bio fortification, need to create awareness on the Breast feeding, focus on quality production; optimal use of natural resources; change in dietary behavior and manage post-harvest losses through food technologies by increasing the role of academia and awareness raising on the food production and security at family level.

Climate Resilient Inclusive Sustainable WASH Safe Healthcare Facility project implemented in district Lodhran with the Financial and technical support of Water Aid. A Health WASH and Hospital Waste Management model created via this project. An event conducted by Doaba Foundation to showcase CRIS-WASH Safe Healthcare Facility model project to a wider stakeholder for demand creation at Arena DHA, Multan.

Javed Iqbal, Manager Programs (RM Committee Convener SUNCSA) Doaba Foundation, Ghulam Mustafa, CEO FDO, (CEC Member- SUN CSA), communities and Civil Society from Punjab participated in Provincial Learning . Professor Umar Farooq Faculty of Food and Home Sciences, MNS University of Agriculture, Multan MNSUAM and Dr. Professor Riaz - BZU highlighted the importance, challenges and solutions of Malnutrition' in South Punjab. Role of farmers in food security and food diversification, challenges and new avenues towards food and nutrition security were uncovered by the panelists - Chairperson SUN CSA, Director Agriculture, CEO Health, Progressive farmers and small scale farmer. Secretary Agriculture applaud FDO & Doaba’s effort for successful implementation of maiden LANN+ APPROCH to address the Malnutrition and food insecurity in disaster prone areas. He appreciated ENOUGH FOOD MODEL to ensure food security of small farmers despite facing indigenous challenges at grass root level.
Doaba Foundation has provided inputs of communal diversified to 600 flood affected households under the project TDA (Transitional Development Assistance) PAK-1132 in the Context of Food and Nutrition Security. This concept of diversified garden got appreciation from Government and Community. Package includes: Fruit Plants, Vegetable Seed kit, Fertilizer and Honey Bee Box (with basic tools).

Under the DIDRR Project, Doaba Foundation celebrated International Women's Day 2024 with the theme "Investing in Women: Accelerate Progress." The event, held in collaboration with Sukh Development Foundation and Dar-ul-Aman Multan, was graced by the honorable Former MPA, Mr. Rafaqat Ali Gillani , and Ms. Maryam Khan Commissioners Multan. Festivities included a dinner and the distribution of gifts.
The esteemed guests, including Former MPA Mr. Rafaqar Ali, Ms. Maryam Khan Commissioners, and Mr. Naeem Ahmed (Divisional Director Multan Shazia Sarwar from Doaba Foundation, Mr. Khalil Ahmad Khan Ms. Komal (In charge of Dar-ul-Aman),) addressed the participants. Representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) actively participated.Around 60 participants joined the dinner-cum-event, making it a memorable celebration of International Women's Day.
