After his arrest, President Saddam Hussein requested the Supreme Court that he was not allowed to wash his clothes or smoke ci******es during his imprisonment. And so, for the past two years, he has only been given one pair of shoes that have worn out. Well, the court accepted all these demands and in addition to providing new pairs of shoes, they were also allowed to wash clothes and smoke ci******es inside the jail.

Saddam Hussein was the ruler of Iraq who owned dozens of palaces, thousands of expensive suits, hundreds of shoes, thousands of perfume bottles and countless expensive cars.
Who had a team of experts to dye his moustache, whose ci**rs came from Havana, whose drinks were made by French companies, whose tailors came from London to measure his clothes. A Royal Washing Center was built in Baghdad for the sole purpose of washing his clothes, whose washerman was given the rank of an honorary colonel. The turn of any suit came after three years.

My heart wants that picture of late Saddam Hussain in which he is washing clothes with his own hands. Let me put it in the bedroom of all the rulers of the world and tell them that man is human after all, he can never become God, and the power of every ruler in the world has to end one day and every ruler of the world must one day. You have to come out of the palace of your power, sometimes on your own feet and sometimes on the shoulders of others.

یہ نہیں دکھایا جاتا کہ سینکڑوں دیہات زیر آب آنے سے تباہ و برباد ہوگئے ہیں ۔۔
متاثرین کا مال و متاع سیلاب لوٹ چکا ہے۔۔
متاثرین کی کھیتیاں برباد ہو چکی ہیں۔۔
متاثرین کے مال مویشی سیلاب سے ہلاک ہو چکے ہیں۔۔
بلوچستان میں سو سے زائد متاثرین لقمہ اجل بن چکے ہیں۔۔۔
ہلاک ہونے والوں کو سپرد خاک کرنے کے لیے خشک اور سوکھی زمین تک میسر نہیں پانی کے اندر گڑھا بنا کر گیلی مٹی کے تودے ڈال کر قبریں بنائی جارہی ہیں ۔۔۔
سیلاب سے مرتے سیلاب زدگان کے لاشے بے گور و کفن پڑے ہوئے ہیں ۔۔۔
سیکڑوں متاثرین سیلابی پانی میں گھرے بھوکے پیاسے موت و حیات کی کشمکش میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں ۔۔۔
افسوس ان متاثرین کو نہ ہمارا میڈیا کوریج دیتا ہے ۔
نہ حکومت ان کی امداد کرتی ہے۔۔
حکومت اگر امداد کرتی بھی ہے ۔ تو اونٹ کے منہ میں زیرے کے مترادف راشن کے قلیل پیکٹ وہ بھی ذلیل کرنے کے بعد دے کر خود کو بری الذمہ تصور کرتے ہیں۔۔۔
