This is the case of an unfortunate patient who went to some quack in Taxilla for their braces treatment and after 19 months of treatment and paying him Rs80000 this is the kind of results he suggested were the best that can be achieved. He prohibited the patient from brushing her teeth can you even imagine what was the condition of her teeth when she came with braces still on and 19 months of not brushing her teeth.He had grinded her teeth specially upper front teeth and ruined their normal shape and structure, made her canine (pointed tooth) look like a lateral incisor because he couldn't level her teeth with braces or should i say didn't know how to level teeth with braces. These pictures were taken after I removed braces and a large amount of overused composite on each and every tooth which was ruining her gums and performed scaling. Seeing this young 16 years old girl in such a miserable and depressing condition broke my heart. These quacks don't know what they are doing and can't handle a complicated case and end up ruining the patient's teeth, smile and self-esteem. This patient had severe anxieties and trust issues for which I can't blame her after what she went through. Take home message after this long post is always consult a specialist orthodontist don't try to save a few pennies and end up with a compromised smile and low self-esteem.
