Survey of Pakistan (SoP) is Pakistan’s National Surveying and Mapping Organization.
Survey of Pakistan remained part of Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Science and technology till 1968, when it became an attached department of Ministry of Defence. The basic responsibilities of the department include delineation and demarcation of international borders, carrying out topographic surveying, preparation of National Geographic Data bases and publishing all type of maps of Paki

The Regional Spatial Data Infrastructure (RSDI) is an initiative intended to create an environment as an infrastructure that a wide variety of users who require a regional coverage, will be able to access and retrieve a complete and consistent data sets in an easiest and secure way.
Its roots are in the regional governments and their cooperation. Further, an RSDI can provide the institutional, political and technical basis to ensure the regional consistency of content to meet regional needs in the context of sustainable development.
