A monumental day for Gilgit Baltistan. First international flight will land in GIlgit-Baltistan on the 14th of August this year. This is a thrilling development and would result in further prosperity and development of tourism sector as well as international collaborations in the region. The reason why this region had not seen any international flight up till now was because of unavailable of refuelling facility in the region. Now, however, the refuelling facility is ready to serve the international flights and shall be inaugurated on the 11th of August thanks to the efforts of Mr. Khakan Murtaza DG Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Syed Muhammad Taha MD & CEO PSO and Federal Government. We are thankful to them all for this monumental breakthrough which would prove to be a turning point for development and prosperity of Gilgit-Baltistan.

A remote cluster of mountains known as Gashabrum can be found in the karakuram mountain range at the northeastern tip of the Baltoro Glacier. The peaks are found in the Chinese and Pakistani boarderland of Xinjiang and Gilgit Baltistan, respectively three of the worlds 8000 meters peaks are found in the massif. Basecamp is nearly a six day hike from Hushe the last habitation of people in the valley.
