Giovanna co-first-chaired the defendant’s case, cross-examined the plaintiff, and argued the Rule 50 non-suit motion that led to the early dismissal of half of the claims. 👏 ⚖️

We are thrilled to announce the successful closing of the largest public-private partnership transaction in Puerto Rico's history, featuring a concession fee of $2.850 billion. Our client, the Puerto Rico Public-Private Partnerships Authority, together with the Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority, successfully procured and entered into a concession pursuant to which Abertis Infraestructuras agreed to finance, operate, improve, and maintain four toll roads on the Island. Fair Labor Standards Act, Salary-basis: defined

On February 22, 2023, the United States Supreme Court held in Helix Energy Solutions Group v. Hewitt that daily rate workers will not meet the “salary basis” test required to be exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act’s protection unless the conditions set forth in either §602(a) or §604(b) of the Act’s interpreting regulations are met. We are looking for an HR assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You’ll assist in creating policies, processes and documents. HR assistant qualifications HR assistant skills we’re looking for include excellent organization ability, familiarity with HR software and strong communication skills. To be an ideal candidate for the human resources assistant position, you should hold an HR-related degree and have some experience in our industry. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. Following our training sessions, you’ll be able to assist HR managers in the whole recruitment lifecycle (e.g. onboarding new hires and candidate sourcing). Ultimately, you’ll ensure our HR department is organized and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain our employees.
