Las estudiantes Taliana Salcedo y Angelis Rivera dijeron presente en la conferencia anual ABRCMS 2023 que se llevo a cabo del 15 al 18 de noviembre. Las estudiantes presentaron sus afiches que son producto del trabajo investigativo que están realizando en la UPR-RP y UPR-Ciencias Medicas.

Glen Wickersham García, an undergraduate student at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and member of the NeuroID program, participated in the annual conference of SACNAS 2023 National Diversity in STEM (NDiSTEM).
Research poster title: “Semiquantitative analysis and identification of neurotrophic factors and their receptors in the intestine of the sea cucumber H. glaberrima” and represented the NeuroID program.
This year, the conference took place on October 26-28, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.

Gian Carlo Molina-Castro, Ph.D., former NeuroID Student, will present a public thesis seminar on March 23, 2023 at 10am (ET). 🧠 Dr. Molina-Castro participated in the NeuroID Program from 2015-2017 and worked with Dr. Carmen Maldonado-Vlaar. He currently is a Postdoc Research Fellow at Bergles Lab at Johns Hopkins University. Link in bio 📍

NeuroID is a program designed to increase diversity in Neurosciences. The program provides opportunities to undergraduate students interested in the area of Neurosciences to enhance their scientific knowledge, research capability and social responsibility.
The proposal is centered a the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras (UPR-RP), but undergraduate students from other local institutions including Universidad Sagrado Corazón (USC), Universidad del Este (UNE), Universidad Interamericana Recinto de Bayamón (UIRB), Universidad Metropolitana (UMET) and the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico are also eligible to participate.
