TRIP is looking for subversive texts that exploit the ruptures in the dominant ones, that slip through the cracks. What is high-culture today? Is counter culture still possible? No point charting a path out of the textual rat maze. Just pick a wall, see if you can crack it.

The interactive exhibition aims to incorporate as many mediums as possible, being the perfect context to materialize the TRIP concept. This event is looking for multimedia art, sculptures, installations and other creative formats that can engage the public directly, bringing them a vivid and visceral experience.

For the showcase at we invite artists to submit a maximum of 3 photographs and short experimental videos that should be no longer than 5 minutes.

You can submit both formats or choose either photography or film. All works should orbit around creating a rupture in the observer’s perception, challenging conventions and breaking the norms that culture and society create.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the visitors who took the time to attend the Iulia Hălăucescu retrospective exhibition at the Casino in Cluj-Napoca. It was an honor to share with you the legacy of this remarkable artist and to witness your appreciation for her outstanding artistic achievements.

We are also deeply sorry for those who were unable to attend due to other activities taking place at the location on some of the days. We understand how much you were looking forward to seeing the exhibition, and we hope that you will have another opportunity in the future to explore the extraordinary world of Iulia Hălăucescu's paintings.

Iulia Hălăucescu was a prominent Romanian artist who dedicated her life to perfecting her craft and promoting culture. Her work was characterized by a deep understanding of color, form, and space, and her paintings have been admired by critics and audiences alike for their vibrant energy and emotional power.

This retrospective exhibition was a tribute to her vision and to the importance of art in our lives. The selection of her most iconic paintings, spanning her entire career, provided visitors with an opportunity to rediscover her legacy and marvel at her artistic achievements.

We would like to extend our special thanks to the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca and the Center for Urban Culture Casino Cluj-Napoca for their support in organizing this exhibition. Without their dedication and assistance, this event would not have been possible.

Once again, we would like to express our gratitude to all the visitors who made this exhibition a success. Your presence and appreciation of Iulia Hălăucescu's work made this event truly special, and we hope to see you again at future exhibitions that we will organize.

"I tried to reproduce what I feel. I, traveling a lot both in the country and abroad, sought to capture various moments, which I could immortalize and synthesize [....].

I, born at the top of the mountains, lived on an ascending line, on high lines, so I saw either the bottom-up perspective, or the bird's perspective from top to bottom, and I created a style of this kind […] like this, as I felt my art and nature itself should be […..].

The focus today is on money more than on art. It's unfortunate. According to me, the works created by hand are abandoned for what the machines produce, for anything else, except for those made by the hand and the soul. As long as there is art, there will be man. The soul cannot but triumph, no matter how much we go towards materialism and a science of such a degree, there is a God and something spiritual, which leads humanity."

Iulia Hălăucescu graduated from the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy Bucharest, the Faculty of Fine Arts Iași, the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute Bucharest and studied privately with the emeritus painter R. Schwetzer-Cumpănă.

The artist structured her work in cycles, and showed them up in more than 50 personal exhibitions both in Romania and abroad, individually or in groups. This cyclical conception allowed the artist to highlight the essence of her personality, to change registers, to innovate and above all to find her own expression.

Va invitam sa explorati lumea animata de Adama impreuna cu ToyBox, Krips, Lupe si Rawboypick in expozitia de arta Drip Land/ Wew care va avea loc la Cinema Dacia, cu sprijinul Primariei si a Centrului de Cultura Urbana Cluj-Napoca in perioada 17-25 Noiembrie 2022.

Evenimentul propune aprofundarea unei colectii atent selectionata, apartinand toposului unei noi generații de artiști activi în scena street art-ului romanesc.

Pentru ca se apropie spiritul sarbatorilor, am pregatit o tombola cu extragerea pe 25 Noiembrie la care vizitatorii vor putea participa gratuit pentru sansa de a castiga o lucrare semnata de Adama si alte premii.

We invite you to the first edition of FIȚI CU-MINȚI CREATIVE FESTIVAL, which we’re more than happy to take part in.
Tothem Art will organize 2 exhibitions during the festival, where you will meet with the art of Lucian Szekely – Rafan, Bianca Kis, Dragos Nicolae Calina and many others.

“Our project is addressed to people of all social and age categories. A big part of our community is diversity - we strongly believe that it is what helps us move forward, and the policy we are guided by is acceptance, a radical tool in such troubled times.
Through Fiți cu-Minți Creative Festival, we aim to “regenerate” local societies by engaging in activities designed to bring people together. Simply living together in a space is often insufficient to give rise to a real sense of belonging, especially in the pandemic context. The mission of our project is that, by organizing a tour of some venues, galleries and cinemas, along with specific activities to each location, to rekindle and/or feed people's interest in art and visual media.
We wish to dissolve the barrier between the audience and the contemporary artist( often perceived as a distant agent, a liminal figure who is torn from objective reality).”

The festival will be taking place in Bucharest from 12 th to 15th May 2022
