We present fascinating photos from our December trip to a city beyond the Arctic circle - Murmansk. This trip was dedicated to seeing the beautiful wild nature of the Tundra and visiting the city’s crucial historical sights such as the monument Alyosha and the nuclear-powered ice-breaker Lenin. In addition to these activities, we had fun husky sledging at a ski resort. You can find out more about our mini vacation in the carousel!

We call all of you to attend the second event dedicated to Social Inclusion Week! This time our destination is a dog shelter, where you can play with animals, and give them some love and care, which they are looking for. Additionally, the shelter is located next to a picturesque forest, so a calm and pleasant atmosphere is guaranteed.

December 17, gathering at 13.00 at the Prospekt Prosveshcheniya metro station

2⃣Details:
Take around 120 rubles for transportation and put on warm clothes. We are going to be in the shelter for 2 or 3 hours

The Social Inclusion Week is coming. This is a great event dedicated to the integration of international students and the development of a sustainable world. Also during this week people are united to show that miracles are still possible. In a magical time of preparation for such important and wonderful holidays as Christmas and New year, we encourage you to join ESN in creating a festive atmosphere for children with chronic diseases.
As a part of the charity project «Dobropochta», we have organized a meeting, where we will write letters of congratulations on the upcoming holidays for children who suffer from serious illnesses to make their lives happier and show our attention and support. After it we will have a tea party, some time to rest, talk with each other, and charge up with a holiday mood.

❗Our event will take place on December 15 at 18:30 in the HSE building on the Embankment of the Griboyedov Canal 123, classroom 302
‼ The cost is 150 rubles (We collect money to send the letters using the post office and to provide you with delicious treats during the event)

December is the most magical time to visit the Russian North - Tundra desert, the Arctic Ocean, the Northern lights if you are lucky…stay with friends in a comfortable cozy house while outside is -20, and spend each day exploring more of the Arctic Circle.

We are happy to invite you to our magical trip to Murmansk, beyond the Arctic Circle. The trip will last 4 days (3 nights) from 8.12 to 11.12. What does the trip include:

Day 1 (arrival by plane):
* Nuclear Ice-breaker Lenin - the first nuclear powered ice-breaker in the world. A tour with a guide
* Activities in the city centre -skiing, visiting the worlds most Northern McDonald’s

Day 2:
* Tundra dessert. We will make several stops on our way to Teriberka, to admire the wild nature of Tundra
* Teriberka village. With an english-speaking guide we will walk around the village, and if we are lucky we will also see the Northern Lights on our way back.

Day 3:
* Husky sledding and meeting deers.
* Ski resort. !Nothing in the ski resort is included in the price, so everyone can choose what they want to do.

Day 4: departure and goodbyes

As the plane tickets get more expensive, the price will rise each week.

It's hard to argue with the fact that St. Petersburg is one of the cultural centers of Russia, so everyone can find a museum or an exhibition to their liking there. If you already go to the Hermitage more often than to your home, if you like something "more modern" or just don't know how to spend a weekend, the Manege is here to help!

The Manege is a modern exhibition hall of world-class, where modern and current projects of Russian and foreign artists are shown. What sets it apart from other contemporary art galleries is its public art program "Museum Line", which aims to create interactive cultural spaces and rethink the urban environment. Street installations are placed both on the square behind the western facade of the Manege and on other iconic cultural sites in St. Petersburg.

Each project of the Manege includes not only an exhibition, but also meetings with its authors, documentary film screenings, master classes, concerts, tours and events for people with disabilities.

Since October 15, the Manege holds the exhibition "Mirror" («Зерцало»), dedicated to provincial secular portraits.

🕙 Meet us at the Finland Station on 06.11 at 11:10 am. Approximate time of return to the Finland Station - 8 pm.
