We say we are slow food, fast - a part of that is that we cook things sloooooowly. These lovely containers of vegan laksa soup have been simmering all day, ready for the .market.gbg tomorrow. Laksa is delicious - a spice paste of ginger, lemongrass, turmeric, laksa leaves, galangal, and so many other things, with coconut milk, veggie broth. We serve it with rice noodles and puffed tofu, bean sprouts and coriander. IT SMELLS SO GOOD IN HERE! 😊😊 See you tomorrow, 12 to 17 at Gronsaktorget!!

Laksa leaves are a vital ingredient in our Singapore laksa, which we're making for the .market.gbg in 2 weeks.... but you can't buy laksa leaves in Sweden (they are native to SE Asia), so we grow it! Making spice paste from scratch feels important to us, as we can confirm it is vegan! (it's also delicious)

We make our laksa mild, to ensure everyone can pick their own spice level.... we don't scrimp on the chilis in our sambal (chili sauce) though. Fresh and dried chilis, onions, shallots, garlic. Totally vegan, totally spicy, totally delicious.

Ja, stort tack alla ni som kom ner och gjorde årets första Slakthuset Saturdays till ett toppenwvent. Trots en lite försenad sol. Och tack alla våra matmekande gäster, ingen nämnd ingen glömd - väl kämpat, utan er blir det inget evenemang. Och snart är det dags igen - vi ses 25 maj!

this Kapitan paste made from scratch will make 365 curries. Last week on Satirday we sold 90 in about 60min. The chicken Kapitan was the most popular and we ran out but had Beef Rendang and Vegan Nonya which went fast too!! it takes 2 days to make from scratch. Thats slow food fast! A glass of wine and an empty stock pot = the end of an amazing event tonight.
Most often, we come home and I make a big pot of soup with the leftover veg (it's hard to anticipate meat eaters vs vegetable lovers, and usually tips in favour of pepperoni). Singapore Laksa was such a hit, which makes me so happy as it's such a special pizza to me. Our lovely client gave me a glass of wine for the road (I am not the driver) - the party was just 10 minutes from home., and now I can sit here and not make soup. Our season is almost over, and reflecting on how these events feel like such a privilege. We always meet such wonderful people. We love doing this. 🥰🥰

Last night felt like summer, and the pizza was a total hit. So delicious.

And the season has begun again! First event of the year last night was a bit chilly (3 degrees), so looking forward to warmer nights! Basil has been growing well inside though - and the house smells amazing.
