Asian Women are more at risk for Sarcopenia/Muscle loss. You can do Yoga, Pilates, weights or dancing. Also increase your Vitamin B intake as it reduces sarcopenia. I like Pilates cos it exercises all the 600 plus skeletal muscles in your body.

Tip of the Day No 14
Take B1(Thiamine), blueberry and magnesium in one supplement daily. Especially for those of us that drink alcohol, coffee, tea, do serious sports and are diabetics. We found that diabetics lose a lot of B1 (Thiamine) in their p*e!

Tip of the Day No 13.
Blueberries contain the most Anthocyanins amongst all fruits. Anthocyanins can reduce your risk of heart disease, reduce your body fat, reduce your chance of diabetes and protect your brain from decline. Eat your punnet of blueberries today!

Tip of the Day No 12
Do you know that competitive varsity male and female swimmers from Japan participating in World FINA Championships were found to have low Thiamine levels? Thiamine is very important to break down glucose to release energy. The half life of Thiamine is 9 to 18 days so take Thiamine 100 mg daily to boost your energy!

Tip of the Day no 11
Cramps in your legs especially at night and that wake you up can be due to lack of electrolytes or magnesium. There is also something interesting that we observed. During your sleep there are stages of Rapid Eye Movement (REM) and Non REM sleep. It is during the non REM sleep that the big toe is observed to be moving up and down in waves. We believe that this could trigger cramps in your legs. Replenish your electrolytes and supplement your magnesium. Quinine (used to cure malaria) also helps. Tonic water has a little bit of quinine so you can try drinking tonic water.
Tip of the Day No. 10
Magnesium is found in Fresh Peas, not so much in processed peas in a bag. It is difficult to find Fresh Peas in the wet market or magnesium in your food. If you drink coffee, tea or alcohol, you p*e a lot and you lose magnesium in your urine. Take magnesium supplements daily!

Thiamine or Vitamin B1 can reduce lactic acid production when you do your gym work and give you more strength! Take thiamine 100 mg daily!

Tip of the Day No 8
Vitamin B1 , not Basement 1 of the hospital where I work.
B1 or Thiamine deficiency can be serious, it can lead to impaired brain function. When your patient starts talking to you about the wonderful dinner he had with his sister when he is the only child, that is CONFABULATION. A*o a serious symptom of B1 deficiency; take your Thiamine 100 mg daily!
Tip of the Day no 7
Vitamin B1 , not the bomber.
People who drink alcohol lose Thiamine or B1. Thiamine is a critical vitamin whose active form is called TPP or Thiamine Pyrophosphate and is used to breakdown glucose to form energy and so when my truly alcoholic patients come into hospital I give them Intravenous Thiamine 1000 mg daily! Take 100 mg of Thiamine daily!

Tip of the Day No 6.
Red wine has lots of polyphenols including reservatrol that may reduce inflammation, is anti ageing, is anti cancer and is a powerful antioxidant. Fruits like blueberry also contains polyphenols. I eat a punnet of blueberry daily for lunch! (along with coloured fruits like orange, kiwi, grapefruit and persimmon)
Dehydration can affect your overall health and your ability to function properly. Make sure you stay hydrated!
Tip of the Day No.5
If you do drink alcohol, do drink red wine in moderation and with food. We are talking 7 glasses (120 mls) weekly for women and 14 glasses weekly for men. Drinking red wine in moderation reduces heart disease by 26%, reduces death by heart attack by 51% and reduces all mortality by 35%.
Feeling tired all the time (TATT) can be attributed to a variety of factors. Management may vary depending on the root issue.
Let's get some insights from Dr Chong!
Tip of the Day No. 4
In addition to Animal Fat, you should also watch the intake of Nuts, Egg Yolk and Coconut Milk (curries, laksa) for your cholesterol. If you really need to eat nuts, you are allowed Hazelnut, Walnut and Almonds but up to only 30 grams daily. That is about 6 to 7 Almonds.

Tip of the Day #3 Eat more white meat like chicken or fish instead of red meat. Shellfish has cholesterol but marine cholesterol is not as bad as animal fat. If you have a choice of steak or lobster, choose the lobster! (thanks to chef Simone Cantafio from la Stua de Michil)
