Oscar Wilde, a popular literary figure during the Victorian England era, ever commented, "The best way to make children good is to make them HAPPY"!
In PMK, there is nothing so beautiful to us teachers as a smiling, bright-eyed and happy child. Hence, we plan our daily activities to bring out the WOW in each of our students.

On this special occasion, let us say a prayer for our students - these little bright sparks in our lives:

Dear Father in heaven, we pray for every child in PMK that they may grow up feeling loved and safe.
We also pray that they may help to spread Your love around by being Your vessels of peace and joy for their family members and friends.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!
Thank you parents for gracing our Wednesday's Teacher's Day Appreciation Morning Potluck Tea Party on August 31with your wonderful presence. We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to your love, generosity and well wishes to us teachers on this special occasion. We were very blessed with the sumptuous spread of yummy dishes on the buffet tables that morning and the children had a great bonding time playing games with their friends and parents. Looking at all the smiles and happy faces in the photos, we can conclude that this parent-school get-together session with the children was indeed a huge success! We certainly look forward to another round of such wonderful parent-school engagement activity happening around the corner soon, cheers!

Today is our Farmers Market day! Look at all the lovely plants and beautifully decorated SINGA figurines ready for sale to support the REACH E-Flag Day 2022 Virtual Tin fundraising campaign. There will also be yummy cupcakes, cookies, rainbow jelly cups and many other sweet treats on sale too. All these are made possible by some of our sweet parents and teachers...God bless them all! We are looking forward to a fun and exciting day at our Farmers Market!

Congratulations to Sriram, K2 and Bella, K1 for winning the SINGA Cubbie Cardboard Design Competition 2022 organised by the Singapore Kindness Movement. Their creative artworks are currently on display at a physical exhibition held at the Jurong East Regional Library together with other schools' entries from August 19 to 31, 2022.
Well done, children for doing our school proud!

We did it! After two and a half years of waiting, our children finally had the chance to go on a field trip to learn in a natural environment and experience things first-hand and from primary resources.

A big THANK YOU to Esther Goh and a group of warm-hearted volunteers from Toh Yi Community Garden - Uncle Jason, Mdm Yip and Linn who tirelessly spent their Friday morning showing our children and teachers around the garden and entertaining them with a fun planting session.

What more, they even did these two videos capturing the children's happy moments and the exciting chatters and their squeals of delight during the field trip... what excellent hospitality we got from them! Kudos to their enthusiasm and love for inspiring children to love gardening work! God bless them for their good work!

It's child's play daily at PMK ...
Our Nursery and Pre-Nursery were busy at work learning about the different parts of a tree while humming the above catchy song to the tune "Head, shoulders, knees and toes"!

Happy 57th Birthday Singapore! What a great joyful celebration for the children and the teachers ...thanks to a group of generous mommies who contributed some sweet treats for the party. Two mommies even stayed up late to bake cakes for the kids!
God bless our nation...may we always stay stronger together, cheers!

PMK Racial Harmony Day Celebration #1

Our Playgroup, Pre-Nursery and Nursery children also showed their support for this important occasion by dressing up, taking part in the Show & Tell activity: My family's favourite rice dish and doing a Racial Harmony Rice Plate craft with colourful straws to represent the richness in our diversity!

It's the beginning of Term 3 and our children were delighted to see their Bayam vegetables have grown so well during the school holidays! They can't wait to harvest them soon!
Planting vegetables is one of our service learning activities to support this year's Start Small Dream Big project for a charitable cause. The children and teachers are planning a mini Farmers Market to sell Bayam seedlings and some other baked goods to raise funds for a charity.

Looking at our kindergarten's mini outdoor play area ... Not a single fanciful playground equipment in sight. There's just a simple climber and NOTHING... yet this is our children's favourite spot in school. They have so much fun there playing all kinds of imaginative games - climbing up and down the colourful structure, chasing one another and sitting at the top, just staring at the clear blue sky and dreaming away...
It's so quiet and tranquil now since school is closed for mid term break... can't wait to hear the infectious laughter and joyful squeals coming from the playground again next week when school starts!

Another K level student - Sriram and his awesome dad wishing all daddies and father figures in PMK BLESSED FATHER'S DAY! According to Sriram, he wants to show his love for his daddy with gifts - a solid tree stump pencil holder and a special Father's Day poem! Way to go, Sriram!

What is Kindness? The K children were great storytellers last week in sharing their Kindness stories. Let's read and give them a thumbs up...thank you!

This morning, our Poetry Cafe students made an excellent presentation of their mother's appreciation poems via Zoom to all our lovely PMK moms. We were amazed by their creative writing skills at this young tender age. They presented a wide array of poems - Acrostic, Haiku, Simile, Lemericks, etc.
Our Poetry Cafe was set up last year to instil children's interest in poetry literature and to give them some experience in poetry writing. The underlying objective is to enhance their language proficiency. After one and a half years of running the class every Wednesday, It is so heartening to see our fruits of labour today...well done, Sriram, Saavi, Avani, Bella and your sister, Berlyn, Saiesha, Dev and your sister, Sia, Olivia and Inuki!
