Happiness is when you completed a few strawberry shortcake cake orders and, aiming for zero waste, so conjured up a few strawberry parfaits with the leftover ingredients! π¨π»βπ³π πΈππ°
Genoise sponge, Korean strawberries, fresh chantilly, yoghurt with nata de coco - to top up with granola and mint before serving! πππ
Dinner tonight with close family and friends at the table. Everything felt so festive as if Christmas came early. Feast was magical and thank you to everyone who turned up this evening. π π¨π»βπ³
Tapas styled prawns with shallot oil, garlic, brown butter and italian parsley. Roasted vegetables farfalle with feta cream and lemon zest. Mushroom mascarpone bruschetta toasted to perfection. π€ππππ₯

Kimchee cooked with cream and herbs, pasta emulsified, topped with egg yolk, nori, parmesan cheese and paired with pork belly (to be eaten as a Korean Ssam as well)! ππΌππΌππΌ

One of the reasons why I love making peanuts akk is simple because I personally like to hands-on with slow roasting the peanuts myself as I am particular about its texture and toastiness.
The light breath of the wok, the caramelization, the desired toastiness - the thin line between getting the best roast out of it before it gets burnt. All these - factories canβt get you. Only hands-on affection matters. π€π€π€
Always therapeutic. And I love spending time doing so.
