In Acts 2:42-47, the Bible tells us the first Christians were devoted to 4 arenas of spiritual growth. Through their devotion in these arenas, God was able to use them powerfully for His Kingdom to transform the world. Our devotion matters to God and us! We will explore the same Bible passage and unpack how we too can grow in these arenas of devotion for God's glory.

Ps Dan serves as Deputy Senior Pastor and Pastor of Connect Ministries for Faith Community Church Australia. He hails from Singapore but considers himself a global sojourner. He spent several years as an investment banker in Asia before serving as a pastor in the USA, Hong Kong and now Australia.

ReFrame Episode 8: Strangers & Exiles
(2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Luke 14:34-35)

How do we live out this story? How do we engage the world around us? In this session, we explore how God calls all Christians to live as ambassadors. Rather than simply assimilating or withdrawing from culture we participate in God’s mission to witness to and redeem culture. All are welcome!

How do we enter into the story? In this final session about the Biblical story, we see how God gives the Holy Spirit to empower the church at Pentecost. (Revelation 21:1-4)

ReFrame Episode 5: Jesus the King
(John 1:1-17)

This session focuses on Jesus Christ as the climax of the story and the fulfilment of all the Old Testament scriptures. He is the true image of God, the true Israelite, who redeems humanity through his person, work, and words. Jesus is both Saviour and Lord, and his redemptive work affects everything. This gives meaning to all of life and culture, including our ordinary activities. The gospel is therefore more than personal salvation; it is the invitation to participate in a renewed life for a renewed world. All are welcome!

ReFrame Episode 4: Israel’s Calling
(Genesis 12:1-7)

This session focuses on God’s faithfulness to the people of Israel and how Israel’s story is part of our family history as Christians. The story of Israel helps us see how our faith makes a difference in a complex and messy world. We learn that God calls ordinary people to trust him and blesses them so they might be a blessing to others. God is with us in our failures and our faithfulness, and he continues to work through us to redeem this broken world. All are welcome!

ReFrame Episode 3: Creation & Fall
(Genesis 1:1-5, 1:26-31)

This session starts at the beginning with the account of the creation and fall. Genesis tells us why God created the world and humanity and his purposes for both. God’s creation was good, but this goodness was catastrophically marred through the fall. Nevertheless, as image-bearers of God, we are called to cultivate this original goodness in our relationships with God, others, and creation. All are welcome!

Free from Injustice

Do you care about justice?

Justice is of high value to God. “For I, the Lord, love justice” (Isaiah 61:8). “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow” (Isaiah 1:17). It should not come as a surprise then that God includes justice on the short list of three things that are close to his heart in Micah 6:8.

Join us this Sunday as we ask God to give us his heart for the victims of injustice, so that we, the Church, might lead the way and pursue justice on behalf of the oppressed, the widow, the orphan, and the enslaved.
