29th of September, World Maritime Day
Today we stand together for the future of our planet. We open our eyes for New technologies for greener shipping. The maritime sector has recognized it’s ability and power to change their influence on the environment. With a focus on the sustainable development goals, it is necessary to harness the technological solutions as they are made available as a part of the contribution to improve the environmental impacts on shipping operations.
As Conautic, we want to show our support towards the necessary stepping stones towards a greener, more equitable, and more sustainable maritime future. Together, we start the conversation about all opportunities that technological innovations can create. This is giving a new dimension and direction to the sustainability of future shipping, which is also important for our Conautic seafarers worldwide!

25th June, Day of the seafarer!!
In exactly one week, IMO will be marking the Day of the Seafarer by issuing a strong call for governments to recognise seafarers as key workers.
The COVID-19 pandemic makes this day more important than ever. Seafarers are the unsung heroes of the global crisis, transporting the food and essential foods we all need. They also face tremendous challenges, with thousands of them still stranded onboard ships.
Join IMO's call for seafarers to be recognised as key workers, so they can continue to provide their essential services and return home at the end of their contracts.

It is the seafarers who drive the engines of global trade. It is their sacrifices that feed us, clothe us and keep us warm.
To mark this contribution, the International Chamber of Shipping and the International Transport Workers’ Federation are calling on seafarers across the world to sound their ships’ horns when in port at 12.00 local time on International Workers’ Day on May 1.
“Our seafarers are the unsung heroes of global trade and we must not forget the contribution that they are making every day to keep our countries supplied with the goods that we need,” said ICS secretary-general Guy Platten. “The sounding of a ships’ horn in ports on the day that the world recognizes the contribution of workers is an ideal way to remind us all of their sacrifice. They are all Heroes at Sea.” The ITF also stressed that Governments should see this as a call to action to facilitate crew changes and the free movement of seafarers so that they can continue to keep supply chains moving in these unprecedented times.
The has support across the world, with a number of large fleets participating.
The Conautic Group recognizes the fact that seafarers are among the true heroes of this crisis and totally supports this initiative.
