typical day for a rhino tracker... 3 weeks patrol in scorching desert to spot elusive rhinos... and camping in wilderness... peering through binoculars to record and monitor their condition...

rangers... trained and well-equipped to fight sophisticated poachers... sold at $200/g at retail, the highly prized rhino keratin horns are widely speculated to cure cancer...

significant decline in Rhino in 2019.. hard work of rangers, deployment of IoT technologies to pinpoint illegal entry into reserves , improved intelligence, engagement of all stakeholders... and measures taken to stop illegal trade...

is limiting funds, resources and causing poverty... driving renewed interest in poaching!

visited India recently... many times for business, first time touring. I was lucky, there 2 days before Trump's visit to Taj Mahal - meticulously cleaned up and magnificent!

I wish for this everyday for India... but facts tell otherwise

COVID19... >2million infected and >146,000 dead so far... what would we do differently given a restart?...

Take that and multiply by 100... earth is there too... we are near PONR (point of no return), commonly termed as "tipping point" for climate change... the consequences this time is more dire... millions dead from food and water shortages, displaced by rising sea levels, unhealthy air, unlivable conditions and coastal storms... as our ecosystem takes a hit...
