The Night Scenery of Tagonoura Port - The Closest Port to Mt. Fuji!

Starting from around 150 years ago, Fuji City flourished as a paper-producing town together with the growing paper industry. With the opening of Tagonoura Port in 1961, it is now known as an industrial center home to many factories from a wide range of industries.

Tagonoura Port is the closest port to Mt. Fuji, and the night view of factory machinery sparkling against the backdrop of the majestic mountain has become a hit among photography enthusiasts!

The port presents a number of unique sights depending on the season, such as the snow-capped Mt. Fuji emerging from the darkness lit by the factory lights, or the light from mountain huts appearing to dot the sky in summer.

You can also take photos from the observation plaza at Fuji no Kuni Tagonoura Minato Park.
