We are thrilled to welcome Aaron to the Podiatry Quest team! Aaron is an experienced podiatrist with a passion for providing top-notch care to his patients.

Aaron graduated from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, and has been practicing in Singapore ever since. He specializes in biomechanical foot and lower limb disorders, sports injuries, and rehabilitation. Aaron is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Podiatry Association Singapore, and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA).

His background in high-performance sports, including rugby and cricket, gives him unique insights into the demands athletes face and the importance of foot and ankle health. Outside the clinic, you might find Aaron playing rugby or spending time with his family at cafes or parks.

Always nice to see an old face! Mr K and Mdm R were long standing patients of mine when I was serving in the public hospital 🏥 It was a very pleasant surprise when we got a call from them last week to come by for a visit 😊

On 26th July, to raise awareness for mental health, a few courageous souls from will be riding up and down our little Mt Faber till they hit the of height of Mt Everest 🗻This “Everesting” can take up to 24hrs 😱

We were super happy to be able to play our part in this great cause by speaking at the event fireside chat on the topic of Optimising Lower Limb Biomechanics in Cycling to help the riders better prepare for the event. We also heard from other riders who have “Everested” before and on the issues of mental health here in Singapore.

Had great fun speaking to runners from the this morning! They are training hard for the in a few months time 💪🏼

I shared on some common running injuries and tips to manage them. Thanks to for the invite. All the best to the runners!

Foot orthotics (or insoles) are part of the solution in managing foot pain or a lower limb injury 👌🏼 They do this by changing load around your foot and ankle, hence improving function.

Orthotics should be:

✅ Comfortable - always
✅ Flexible - functional and comfortable
✅ Thin - able to fit into your everyday shoes

If you’re wearing orthotics that don’t feel like a plush shoe or want to know more, we would love to help 🦵

For a long time, flat feet were viewed as problematic, believed to be the cause of many lower limb problems, presumed to increase injury risk, and needed to be “corrected” even in the absence of pain. Regrettably, this belief still persists today.

Yet, modern science and research have refuted these notions

The truth is, flat feet are completely normal, representing a variant of the many different diverse foot types that exists. They are NOT a deformity. And they certainly do not need to be “corrected” or treated, if the individual is healthy and moving pain-free ✅

First, pronation (your foot rolling in) is normal and essential to healthy foot function 🦶🏼

Pronation helps us to absorb shock and impact forces. Without adequate pronation, our bones and soft tissues will be overloaded and get damaged.

Pronation occurs in all types of feet, whether you have high or low arches.

If pronation is too high and rapid, it can cause pain and discomfort.

If pronation is restricted, either from rigid orthotics or stiff joints, this can also cause pain and discomfort.
