The ASBC Extraordinary Congress wrapped up on August 31st with SBF President Mr. Fairuz Mohamed representing Singapore. Engaging discussions underscored the global commitment to keeping boxing in the Olympics.

Mr. Fairuz seized the opportunity to exchange ideas with Asian counterparts and witness the ASBC Junior tournament in Al Ain. Exciting agreements and future collaborations were established by him, paving the way for a dynamic boxing calendar in 2025.

The Syed Kadir Boxing Championship was a resounding success, showcasing the remarkable talent of Team Singapore and our local boxers, each representing their clubs with pride. Our Team Singapore athletes delivered a gallant performance, leaving everything in the ring and setting the stage for SEA Games 2025 qualification.

In the wise words of Coach Kai, “We win some, and we learn some.” Today, we did both. This is just the beginning of a challenging journey, but with the strength and determination we’ve seen, the only way is forward. Together, we will conquer every uphill battle.

✔️ Relevant coaching certifications are a plus.

This achievement placed them among the top contenders in their age group within Asia, a continent boasting some of the strongest boxing programs in the world. This medal serves as a stepping stone for these young boxers, fueling their aspirations to climb even higher in future tournaments. Our Singapore Boxing Team 🇸🇬🥊 (comprising of 16 boxers including Coach Solihin and Coach Syafiq) will be competing in The Sarawak Open Championship 2024 🇲🇾 will be held from May 6 to May 10, which will also be held at the Petra Jaya Indoor Stadium. This tournament will be a valuable opportunity for the team to gain experience competing against boxers from around the region, including West Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Indonesia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and even some international teams.
