Deity D4 Mini - No Batteries Needed

The V-Mic D4 Mini runs completely off of the 3V Plug-In Power provided by your camera’s microphone jack. Plus, the 3V Plug-In Power is passed along through the 3.5mm input jack on the V-Mic D4 Mini, allowing you to use passive TRS lavalier microphones.

"Using a timecode slate is a lot like a traditional, mechanical slate. Slating is done in the usual way, preferably at the head of the shot. When the top clap stick is lowered on the slate, the timecode at that instant is frozen on the display. In postproduction, the frame where the clap sticks closed is paused on screen so the timecode can be read on the slate. That number is entered into the editing or telecine system, which locates that same timecode number in the audio and, presto, the shot is in sync. Note this is a simple visual system—the timecode number is read from the picture by humans, not machines."

All cameras are gonna have some latency between real life and what their LCD display is.

In the TC menu, you'll notice that we also have added an offset so that on the front display you may need to go up or down a couple of frames depending on the latency of your camera. You can figure this out pretty quickly by actually jam syncing the camera, referencing the two numbers, and you could quickly figure out what the latency of your camera's reading is.
