Yesterday (22 August) afternoon was a special day for us!🥳 We celebrated not just the winners of the Singapore Good Design (SG Mark) Award 2024, but also the spark that ignites every great design.

One Spark is All It Takes - this spark represents the beginning of something extraordinary, the moment when an idea becomes a reality that can transform lives, industries, and societies.

This spark ignites the creative journey, but the path from idea to reality is rarely straightforward. It’s a process full of challenges and creative tensions, where every decision matters.

One of the key highlights of our Awards Ceremony was the inspiring speech by our Guest of Honour, Mr. Naoto Fukasawa, who reminded us, “We must aim for right design, not good design. Because everything is designed and not only good design is called design.”

Heartiest congratulations to every winner of Singapore Good Design Award 2024!🌟

“All Forms of Life” is a series of posters highlighting people’s life experiences being different from birth, old age, sickness and death, joys and sorrows. Various states and appearances are expressed through actions and states. Each word in the phrase is represented by people in different positions to evoke emotions felt from life experiences. The process of production, done by hand and screen printing is cumbersome, reflecting the process of life.

National Gallery Singapore tackled the challenge of engaging children with historical art, particularly Raden Saleh's Boschbrand. Their solution, "A Brush With Fire," combines physical and digital elements, with Raden Saleh acting as a mentor. Children use a magical paintbrush to interact with the artwork, learning about art principles and creating their masterpieces.
