Lecture: CHOSING LIFE OVER DEATH (Deut. 30:19)
In Deuteronomy 30:19, God tells the Israelites, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live."
This is a powerful reminder that we all have a choice to make. We can choose life, or we can choose death. Choosing life means choosing to obey God's commandments and to follow His will. It means choosing to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
Choosing death means choosing to disobey God's commandments and to follow our own desires. It means choosing to live a life that is centered on ourselves and our own selfish ambitions.
The Israelites were given a choice. They could choose life, or they could choose death. They chose death. As a result, they suffered many consequences. They were enslaved, they were exiled, and they were eventually destroyed as a nation.
But we don't have to make the same mistake as the Israelites. We can choose life. We can choose to obey God's commandments and to follow His will.
What are some of the benefits of choosing life? Join us for this important lesson on choosing life over death!

Eastside Church of Christ held our Dedication Day last Sunday! It was so heartwarming to see brethren who visited us from other congregations! We bonded over the food and fellowship!
