What is Ms. K upto?
Teaching Magic “e”
The Magic E rule, sometimes called the “silent E,” teaches children how adding an “e” at the end of certain words changes the vowel sound from short to long. For example:
Hop becomes Hope
Kit becomes Kite
Tap becomes Tape
Why Magic E Phonics Works

🔤 What is the Floss Rule?
When a one-syllable word ends in f, l, or s after a short vowel, you double the final f, l, or s. 📝

Think of it as flossing your words to keep them “clean” and “healthy”! If the word ends in f, l, or s after a short vowel, it needs a little extra attention! 🪥✨

Tricky words are the common words which cannot be sounded out by using Jolly Phonics Sounds. These words often don’t follow regular phonics rules, making them tricky but essential for fluent reading! 📖👀

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Chew Yeh 🕊️
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and our work associate, Chew Yeh. Today, we mourn the loss of a friend, a mentor, and a truly remarkable individual. Still can’t believe that this happened.
Chew Yeh was more than just a name in our professional circles; she was a shining example of integrity, passion, and kindness. She had a way of uplifting spirits and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy will endure through the countless lives she touched and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Chew Yeh's family Kenlin Liu , September 21 and loved ones during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, dear Chew Yeh. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire us always.
