1. Embrace Diversity: Help them understand that there is never a justification for mocking someone based on their height, weight, skin tone, home environment, or personal interests. Each individual is unique and deserving of respect.
2. Value Authenticity: Discuss the idea that wearing the same shoes every day is perfectly acceptable and that true style comes from being oneself, not from conforming to trends.
3. Recognize Worth Beyond Material Possessions: Convey that a used backpack can carry the same aspirations and dreams as a brand-new one. It’s the journey and the experiences that matter, not the label.
4. Promote Inclusion: Teach them the importance of inclusivity and encourage them to reach out to those who may seem different. Everyone deserves a place in our community.
5. Understand the Impact of Words: Explain that teasing can inflict real emotional pain and that school should be a sanctuary for learning, growth, and positivity, rather than a battleground for competition and negativity.
6. Cultivate Empathy: Remind them that not all children come from loving or supportive homes, making it all the more crucial to practice kindness and compassion in their interactions.

The founder and CEO of ANTI Bullying Initiative-WORLDWIDE later mother 40th funeral ceremony

Good morning, afternoon, and evening to everyone. I’m saddened to announce the death of our mother, Aunty, Sister, Ya. Abie Bangura, the mother of Zainab Yillah the founder and CEO of Anti Bullying Initiative Worldwide . She died this afternoon after taking her ablutions for her Friday (Juma) prayers.

May Allah forgive her sins and reward her with Paradise. May light perpetually shine upon her soul and May her soul rest in perfect peace Ameen!

Good morning to you all

An Aeroplane cleaner was cleaning the Pilot's cockpit, when he saw a book titled, "HOW TO FLY AN AEROPLANE FOR BEGINNERS (Volume 1)

He opened the first (1st) page which said: "To start the engine, press the red button...". He did so, and the airplane engine started...

He was happy and opened the next page...:
"To get the airplane moving, press the blue button... "He did so, and the plane started moving at an amazing speed...

He wanted to fly, so he opened the third (3rd) page which said: To let the airplane fly, please press the green button... "He did so and the plane started to fly...

He was excited...!!

After twenty (20) minutes of flying, he was satisfied, and wanted to land, so he decided to go to the fourth (4th) page... and page four (4) says; "To be able to know how to land a plane, please purchase Volume 2 at the nearest bookshop!"

Moral Lesson

Never attempt anything without complete information

Is a Horrible Problem, My Experience

Bullying is still been overlooked in our society today. Victims of Bullying face a series of challenges both physically and mentally. I say this because I was once a victim of this terrifying act.

Being a conservative and a quiet person during my primary school days, an advantage by my schoolmates to torture me mentally.

Those whom I called my friends and also those that bullied me verbally, I did not even know. It was so horrible that at some point I thought about living school.

I would always come back home with either that I even tired of doing it, because no one would take it seriously. It got even worse when I went to secondary school, wherein I was bullied physically and also verbally by some boys who took pleasure in oppressing girls. Fighting these boys was useless, as they were physically strong and rude. I also thought about telling the school authorities, but it was still futile, as they never took matters like this with all seriousness.
I even tried fighting for myself by retaliating whenever ever they approached me, but I did not know that I was trailing on the same path they were taking, and I was given six strokes for accidentally pushing down an old woman whom I thought was one bully. I almost received a Gate pass that day if it wasn't for the timely intervention of the principal. I felt so guilty and rejected that day. There was this feeling like I was being left alone in this world without love from no one, not even friends.

Because of bullying from my friends in school added to my low self-esteem and I lost confidence in myself. I could do nothing or engage myself in any social activities in school because I had that feeling like I would be bullied out because of my quiet character.

As disappointed as I was at junior school, the senior school also brought so many psychological wounds, but I later learned to rise above the situation. I also believed that Bullies are just fake people who are scared to show their true selves to the world. The psychological wounds of bullying behaviours are irreparable, particularly on children when there is no help. When I first learned about ABSI a few months back, I was really moved by the initiative. I said to myself so there is an initiative that fights against bullying. All this while I was thinking of something to do after my high school exam (WASSCE), when I concluded my exam a few days back, I approach the team here and expressed my intention. I felt I should involve in this venture to help combat bullying act so that present and unborn children can’t to go through my experience in both primary and secondary schools. I have a passion for advocacy work. Thanks for the pioneers and all those that have been supporting this true cause.
