International Council of Wheelchair Cricket

1st July 2024: The International Council of Wheelchair Cricket (ICWC) today announced from Thailand the 1st Ever 40 Overs ODI Asia Cup 2025 in January 2025.The 40-Overs format event will be held in January 2025 with initially four teams participation. Being the governing body of wheelchair cricket globally ICWC successfully organized two T20 Asia Cup in 2019 & 2023. The 1st T-20 World cup of wheelchair cricket also announced in 2025 in UAE.

Mahindarpal Sindh 1st Pakistani Sikh Cricketer named as the Head Coach of Asian champion Pakistan wheelchair cricket team. He was also the camp commandant of Asia cup training camp at Lahore in 2023. As earlier Mahindar said about to feel proud to associate the title holder team twice in 2019 & 2023.

Mr. Shafiqullah Samim, the founder of wheelchair cricket for the people with disabilities of Afghanistan gave all information about wheelchair cricket with Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Mr. Shukrullah and Mr. Zahid Zadran, the official of cricket for the disabled and in April 2024 Talked with Pakistan about three T20s and two ODI matches. Afghanistan Cricket Board assured all kind of cooperation. Mr. Shafiqullah Sameem, Chairman of Cricket Board and Family Cricket Officer Jar Abdul Rahimzai Sahib and Zahid Zadran.
