Back to good news from the Tunis hub!
Our pride and joy, Slim Bouakez, the Global Shapers North Africa Community Champion is selected to attend World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting - Davos 2024!
Slim, the first Tunisian attending Davos was selected among a group of 50 shapers from the around the world! He will not only represent the GS Tunis hub but he will also advocate for a water-secure future by representing his own startup WaterSec !

في إطار مشاركة تونس في المؤتمر 26 للأطراف في الاتفاقية الأممية للأمم المتحدة حول التغيرات المناخية المنعقد بغلاسكو- سكوتلاندا من 31 أكتوبر إلى 12 نوفمبر 2021 ، يتولى الوفد التونسي، بالتعاون مع الوكالة الألمانية للتعاون الدولي GIZ وجمعية التغيرات المناخية والتنمية المستدامة، تنظيم ورشة جانبية رسمية يوم 04 نوفمبر 2021 حول الرفع من مستوى الطموح في مجال التخفيض من الانبعاثات في اتجاه الحياد الكربوني في أفق سنة 2050.

Raising Ambitions to Reach Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
This side event discusses how to pave the way to reach carbon neutrality in developing countries. The vision of Tunisia towards carbon neutrality will be presented as a case study. Governments, NGOs and climate experts will discuss the approach to be adopted in the different mitigation sectors to reach carbon neutrality and how it aligns with the achievement of the Paris goals.
