The Lecturer will provide instruction in therapeutic massage & Bodyworks. He/she will be responsible for the delivery of information provided in lesson plans including lecture and demonstration through hands-on techniques. He/she will exhibit professional and ethical behavior at all times. He/she will present qualifications as required for completion of Secondary and Tertiary education Trinidad & Tobago and holding a certificate (reflective of 900+ continuous training in massage and or related Bodyworks Therapies in the field they are teaching. Much of the teaching will demonstrations in hands on techniques. Work schedule varies (days, evenings and weekends) according to teaching assignment.

Main purpose of the job:
To deliver to participants the curriculum representative of the training program (teaching and classroom administration within the area of Therapeutic Massage & Bodyworks).

Main duties and responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

Provide a high-quality learning experience to students, assisting them to achieve prescribed learning outcomes
Continually develop your own teaching methods and practices to apply high quality, innovative learning techniques and use of materials that create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students
Prepare for and conduct face to face, online and co-operative programs as allocated.
Conduct workshops, small group discussions, large group lectures, practice clinics, webinars, oral.
Conduct assessments and other learning and assessment activities as required.
Provide high quality feedback and pastoral care to students in a timely manner

MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION
Manage the progress of students through their course of study, including maintaining email records and other records of participation, coursework and assessment.
Proactively contribute to the by-annual curriculum revision process.
Ensure that your individual performance objectives are aligned to the goals and objectives of YJBN Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks Academy Limited.
Undertake any relevant internal training courses as requested.
Attend and actively participate in all team meetings, information sessions and other relevant Academy events.
Work with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner to deliver outcomes.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The person appointed is likely to have the skills and experience listed below.
1. Knowledge
Essential: A strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to teaching programmes

2. Skills
Essential: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Proven record of ability to conduct high quality research evident in the teaching
Portfolio containing prepared lesson plans and teaching learning materials.

Desirable: Proven record of ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines.
Evidence of ability to teach and to assess classroom academic work by students of the program.
3. Aptitude
Essential: Ability to work collaboratively

4. Qualifications
Essential: Certified Massage Therapist/ Certified Personal Trainer and teaching diploma or related qualification.
Desirable: Membership of a relevant professional organisation (locally, regionally or internationally).

5. Previous Experience
Essential: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Massage & Body works Industry
Desirable: Assessment of student work.
Engagement with professional community
Pastoral care of students.

The main purpose of this role is to direct and control the all business operations at an administrative level in support of the office of the Director (s). Performing advance administrative duties that includes the overseeing of budgets, payments, travel arrangements meetings and new hires at YJBN Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks Academy Limited.



Main duties and responsibilities:



Reporting to Director(s) and executing instructions

Liaising with Director(s) and Head of Department regarding administrative matters.

Keeping track of accounts balance and managing petty cash transactions

Verifying timesheets and processing payroll.

Overseeing the maintenance, repaired and replacement of office equipment and furniture.

Making travel arrangements, coordinating conference calls and handling RSVP for events.

Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and correspondence.

Hiring of lower level employees.


Requirements:

An associate or Bachelor’s Degree in business Administration, or similar.

3-5 years of experience in a similar senior Administrative role.

Advance proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.

Experience in payroll administration

Extensive experience in managing payments, budgets and expenditures.

In-depth knowledge of administrative record keeping

Ability to plan, schedule and execute office related events.
