A few useful tips to help you take that first step to starting!
🔹Identify your goals, be SMART in your planning. Be patient and stay the course! 📈
🔹Remember that your are human and although it may seem easy, you have o my just begun, pace yourself with the workouts. Increase gradually 🏋🏽
🔹Hydration is important in everyday living. Keep a bottle of water with you throughout the day 💦
🔹Find those songs, create that awesome playlist to get you motivated and crank that volume up! 🎧
🔹This fitness journey is yours, don’t compare it to others. Focus on what you want to achieve and not what others are thinking 🧩

Are you experiencing tight hips? Feeling pain while sitting or exercising?
Or need to just stretch those hips after a good run!!?

Sitting for any length of time will cause your muscles to constrict, limiting their movement and resulting in tightness.
Your Hip Flexors are a group of muscles along your upper thigh (iliacus, psoas major, and the re**us femoris) which help flex your hips.
Having tight Hip Flexors is not only uncomfortable, but can also cause lower back pain.
💡We cannot forget the lower back and that they are all connected!
Not only that, tight Hip Flexors can also make it hard to activate your glutes during exercises. When one muscle is tight, it’s opposing muscle becomes lengthened, resulting in its inability to contract, causing other muscles to work a lot harder and may overcompensate.
✏️5-10 minutes of stretching will help!!
Try these 3 stretches daily and notice the difference.

A quick 📹 to Lift your Mood!
As today is World Mental Health Day, we want to help those of you who may need some encouragement, here are a few things to help lift your mood!
1️⃣ Nature Walks🍃 :- There has been so much research done about the benefits of going outdoors, feeling the fresh air on your face and enjoying the beauty of nature. You can go somewhere you know or try a new adventure.
2️⃣ Exercise🏃🏼‍♀️:- Getting your heart rate up a little and getting those endorphins fired up has proven to lift your mood and have you feeling x10 better. It does not have to be 2 hours in the gym. All you need is 20-30 minutes.
3️⃣ A form of meditation🧘🏽‍♀️:- Meditation is different of everyone, you can sit in a quiet place and focus on your breath, or you can do a small flow of movement and focus on your breathing throughout the movement. Anything that relaxes your mind, body and soul.
4️⃣ Time with an animal🐈:- Ok! Animals aren’t for everyone! But for us the comfort and love from an animal is really heart warming and they can truly lift your mood!

Pull Up Progression
💯Did someone say they wanted some Pull Ups?!
Been trying to get somewhere with your pull ups? Or do you want to be able to do a pull up for the first time?
A lot of people just jump into attempting a pull up before they have even thought about the foundation that goes with it! As with anything you do, or anything you want to build, foundation is key 🔑
The video 👆🏼 shows the different stages to go through and achieve before being able to performing a Pull Up!
1️⃣Dead Hang (15-20 seconds)
2️⃣Flex Hang (10 seconds)
3️⃣Negative Pull Ups
4️⃣Band Assisted Pull Ups
✔️1st Pull Up!!🔑
Of course there are other exercises that can be done that will help improve upper body strength that go hand in hand with the pull up. But today’s focus is this one movement 👍🏼
