In The Underground: Kings of Taiwan Documentary Screening

Join us July 18 at Another Brick for a screening of Kings of Taiwan, a documentary about the drag king scene in Taiwan which emerged in 2019. Focusing on three drag kings whose careers were born in Taipei, Kings of Taiwan offers an intimate look into the inner workings of Taipei’s most handsome drag performers.

After the screening, documentary filmmaker Syrus Sadvandi sits down with his subjects Uncle Southside Tingles and Eggs Essential Crysus to talk about the making of the documentary, answer whatever questions you might have and share some thoughts about Taiwan’s Drag King scene.

Post-panel, we welcome you to relax and connect with each other in the space. Mingle, sip drinks and talk about what you do, and maybe about a collaboration or two. Anything can happen if you let it.
